Q: How do you use it and store it? Im confused by the open cap.

It's a bar of soap you rub on your wet face then whip up into a lather with a shaving brush. The holes in the cap allow the soap to dry between uses. Look up shave stick on YouTube for a how to use demo.

Now that I se the product, all you do is remove the top(plastic), and the whole stick is there. No need for the twist tube.

Q: Is this tallow based?

Further research tells me no. Not tallow based, but still an excellent shave stick. Tallow based will cost a lot more.

Q: Will this brand lather well by using fingers rather than a brush?

It's will work either way but best with a brushGood stuff to use
