are these the same as snake gaiters? or dose one have more protection then the other?

I wouldn't trust them as snake boots. I've been hit by a Ray with them with no issues. Not sure how they'd hold up to a rattler.

Will these work if i am 5.2 feet tall and 138 pounds?

They should be fine, i’m 6’3 but friends that wear them are 5’6 or so and have no problems. You pull the straps tight around your calves and can tighten them as much as you need
