Mikasa Kya 4 Piece Porcelain Place Setting, Assorted

I’ve had this set going on 6 years now and every use I’m complimented by friends and family that see or borrow them. We started using mikasa brand after my husband’s work gave him an anniversary gift catalog item he chose from them for the cheer collection. I’m thrilled they’ve started selling these on amazon because it’s made adding to the place settings from the usual accidents easy and affordable just in time for the holidays. Lenox, oneida, phalsgraff and other pricy options would do well to keep up with the classy yet beautiful everyday use this kya mikasa design and many place settings options that have proven for years to my family your worth sturdy everyday elegance.

One, its craked.

I love the design and the shape of the plates. I just wish they had a smaller bread and butter plate. They make a very elegant table and everyone seems to really like them. They do well in the dishwasher. I really like them. Right now I am using them for casual company dinners, since I already have Mikasa every day dishes. I definitely recommend them. I have the purple and blue but the Smoke set looks nice too.

These are nice enough but I didn't realize when I ordered it that the set was actually 4 peices instead of a service for 4. It came with only 1 big plate, one small plate, one bowl, and one mug. That means a service of 8 will cost about $320. This set is not $320 worth of nice.

I waited quite awhile before convincing myself to order these dishes! I am SUPER HAPPY that I finally did!!!!! This is good quality dinnerware with a very modern and pleasing design!! The "purple" is more of a brown, but the blue is awesome!!!!These dishes make the food placed on them really "pop" in color!If you can afford this sophisticated, but fun dinnerware, please order; you won't regret your decision, I promise!!I have also gotten numerous compliments!!!!!!

Great dishes. I wish there were more companion pieces but the pattern lends itself to mixing with other modern designs. I particularly like dishes that food looks good on. These are a great backdrop for food without overwhelming you. Do be aware that the pieces are on the heavy side.
