I needed to decode the 16-bit address line from a microcomputer project. Since most binary to 7-segment decoders are BCD-only, I would give this one a try. Works great... except or a couple of annoyances. There is really no output-enable or brightness control so it does draw quite a bit of power. It is best to force latch enable low otherwise you well get unpredictable results. Of the 10 pieces I received from the seller, 4 of them did not decode properly.
