Very insightful

This book is essential reading; Fred Davis is so clear, so direct, so heartbreakingly open and honest about his own spiritual path, and of the spiritual path in general, that it feels impossible not to come away from his writing feeling more clear, less cloudy, and more aware of your being as Awareness.Every chapter is a touchstone, one that I feel invites regular re-reading - showing to is whatever we need to see next on the path. He covers oscillation after an awakening experience, and how to pay attention to presence, and see ourselves as we truly are. Brilliant.

The words are ineligible as if they had run out of ink toner. And probably to save on paper the words are tightly packed and lines closely arranged. It is impossible to read anything. Totally useless and waste of money. Nothing to do with my eyesight as I currently have over 300 books allow which are easily legible.

Loved this book. Really drove the point home that we are already awake. I loved it. I would recommend this book to anyone who has been searching for enlightenment

Well, I can say with certainty that I am glad he's here. He's very much right here and right now as an incredible teacher. In this book he expresses his teaching with an elegant, easy going style that always seems to capture the humor that lies just beneath surface of inquiry of this sort. However, I was most impressed by the breadth and depth of his clear "seeing / understanding" of reality as it is. This book will be very useful and practical for anyone who feels the tug to awaken from the dream in a very direct way. I also just finished his first book, "Beyond Recovery". It really opens up what might be available beyond the addiction to the story of me and mine by embracing the intelligence that's only available as non-duality and living freshly as "the one thing going on". Wherever he came from I now put him at the top of my long list of non-dual teachers.I am also really excited to read his other book, the Book of Undoing" which I just received. I'll post that later, but can't imagine it not hitting the mark as well.

You will want to read this book after you have had your 1st Spiritual Awaking from reading his other book "The Book of Undoing". Fred uses simple and direct language to explain why most spiritual seekers go right back to 'sleep' after their first awaking experience and more importantly what to do about it. Using his own personal experience along with a dash of humor, he approaches the subject of getting and staying 'awake' in a new and fresh way. Other spiritual teachers might want to take note of this guy. Fred has probably been responsible for more people having spiritual awakenings through his books and one on one 'Living Method Sessions' than many of his contemporaries put together. His down to earth personal style and honesty makes him very approachable as an author and teacher and his books are an easy read. In my opinion someday, in the not too distant future, his break through methods will be in common use as a way of taking that first walk through the 'gateless gate'. Highly recommended.

Let's start this as a conventional book review: Fred Davis is an authentic awakened teacher who has written a very accessible and useful book on the actual experience of awakening to our true nature. Perhaps even more important is his perspective on achieving clarity, post awakening. Fred writes as someone who is enlightened, not 100% perhaps, but enough by far give his explanations from his own experience. For the seeker, in the pre-awakened state it's good to know that enlightenment is actually possible, and to get some intellectual idea of awakening. For the post awakened, but still occasionally or even often cloudy finder, this is an invaluable book.Let's drop the dream state: One endlessly and never ceasingly speaks in a million tongues, in the midst of cacophony, here One speaks clearly to One.
