Motions Classic Formula Hair Relaxer Mild, 15oz, 15 Oz

I like this product I used it and it turned out great for my hair. At first I thought it would be too light since I always use regular but since my scalp is so sensitive this product works wonders for me.

Needed to calm the volume of my colored course wavy hair for the summer. I was nervous about frying my hair but followed instructions exactly and voila, just what I wanted, still have wave but now much less poofy! I bought my own neutralizing shampoo and conditioner on Amazon got much cheaper and it worked great.

I used this to retouch my new growth after waiting 3 months from getting my hair highlighted, and 2 months from my last color retouch. I naturally have 3B curly hair and usually use the no-lye regular strength kind of relaxer for a shorter processing time to achieve a Tex-lax but I love that this strength will allow me more application time and that lye relaxers are supposed to be less drying on your hair. left it on for the 10-12 minute range on the new growth and it worked as described, a slight tingle on the scalp but no irritation, damage or burn like I had feared from a lye relaxer. The strength did not cause breakage and was mild enough to straighten my roots but still afford them some “bounce” which I prefer instead of being super flat against my scalp. I used the motions sulfate-free ph neutralizing shampoo afterwards which I also highly recommend.

It did my hair justice. I love the results I gotten from using it. I just hope the company will send it bubble wrapped or anything to keep it from busting open.

I’m sorry to say but unlike the medium relaxer from my usual brand (cream ofNature) which is now harder to find in stores and really pricey now on Amazon forsome reason ... I cannot tolerate this one very well and my hair comes out over processed looking really fast. I usually like mediums because I can leave it on longer and re treat the hair sooner without over processing but this one I cannot do that with. I’m mixed but my hair is kinda thick and course. If you have more kinky hair this could be perfect, but it’s not the best if you want a subtle loosening of the curl.

Excellent Product far too expensive. I would not recommend that you pay this price.
