Great sound for the price
This is a refurb so your mileage may vary on product condition, missing or damaged components, etc. That being said I think this unit gives a great sound for the price. I was looking at the KW-450 for awhile waiting for the price to approach it's Black Friday 2016 level - it never even got close. It stayed in the $200s from that point on. Fast forward to May 2017 and I go back to give it another look and it's still fairly high. By coincidence I stumbled upon the KM45C. This unit is the same as the K450. Even the box it was shipped in said K450. The only difference is this is relabeled for sale in wholesale club stores. Manufacturers change the model number so you can't walk into a big box chain and price match the club stores. The unit was shipped in a Samsung labeled brown box that contained remnants of the original box inside. Everything was well packaged and in good condition upon unpacking.I read dozens of reviews from this site and others and they helped a great deal to fine tune once I had everything installed. First, if you plug and play this unit you won't get optimum sound. I hooked up the KM45C to my Samsung JS8500 TV using the included HDMI cable. One end into the soundbar, the other into the ARC HDMI port on the OneConnect box. Easy enough. Make sure you plug the cable into the ARC labeled port on the box. If you are using the optical cable, ensure you remove the plastic caps before insertion.Once the cables were hooked up I was able to manually pair the subwoofer to the soundbar using the poorly written instructions that were included with the unit. It took two attempts but it wasn't difficult. After you tell you TV to output to the soundbar instead of your TV speakers you'll need to make some adjustments in the audio settings of your TV. I changed the sound mode to DTS Neo 2.5 (Dolby was also available - pick whichever one you prefer) from the default setting which I believe was PCM(?). This immediately made a huge difference. I also enabled HD Audio while I was in that general settings area.I use Comcast X1 and I believe there was also a setting for audio in the cable box settings. So make sure you check the audio settings for all of your connected devices. Don't trust that once you plug the unit in it will be ready to go at optimal performance. As far as the sound goes I'm satisfied. I have this unit attached to my living room TV. Room size is rectangular and open concept. The sound travels nicely without distortion and the sub sits in a corner behind an end table and kicks more than adequately. I find how much the sub kicks out depends on what you are watching. For instance, the NHL playoffs didn't produce that much bass but when I flipped over to a movie on FX it was booming. If you like a more bassy sound you can of course adjust the settings on the soundbar itself. You can adjust both the woofer's bass and the soundbar's bass individually. There are also 5 or so pre programmed EQ settings such as Standard, Sports, Clear, Movie and Night. I find myself using Standard the most but I have used movie on occasion. Again this is personal preference.Overall I'm glad I purchased this over the K450 and saved myself a few bucks!

Easy setup, great sound and a great low price.
I am quite impressed with this soundbar. Setup was about as easy as could be. All I had to do was plug the included optical cable from my TV to the soundbar, plug the soundbar and subwoofer into wall outlets and disable the TV's internal speakers. The subwoofer paired to the soundbar with no intervention from me. Even though my TV is a Vizio, this Samsung soundbar recognized the signals from my Vizio TV remote without ANY configuration whatsoever. This soundbar is refurbished but the only indication of this is the generic packaging. It came with all the accessories that were included with the original new product. The condition of all the pieces appeared to be new and everything functioned perfectly. The sound is also wonderful. I'm not sure what the frequency response is for this, but there is plenty of LOW bass but it never overpowers the sound. It is just present. The high end could be brighter though. I have had to turn the treble all the way up on the soundbar and also boost the treble using the equalizer in the available phone app. Once I had the EQ adjusted to my preferences, I tried some scenes from a couple of my favorite action movies and some of my favorite music. It all sounded spetacular. In fact, this ~$100 soundbar (refurbished) sounds better than my Marshall Stanmore speaker that costs 2-3 times what this soundbar costs.

Amazing Surrohnd Sound Quality and Bass
OH MY GOODNESSI’ve been wanting a surround sound system for a while that would plug into my tv (for better movie and gaming experience) that was also Bluetooth and not too hard on budget but also not crap. (Yes, I’m picky)I was walking through Walmart and found the demo system of the Samsung HW-KM45A which I thought sounded gorgeous but was $198. I found this system (Samsung HW-KM45C) for $108 “refurbished” (basically the box said refurbished but the system was brand new)I guess the difference in the serial number is... idkThis system doesn’t fail to impress! My PS4 hooks into the sound bar and then the sound bar hooks into the tv and the optical cable hooks into the tv. When I’m watching regular tv, the optical is used. BUT (this is the super cool part (part 1)) when I turn my PS4 on, the surround sound kicks on and my tv gets turned on with it! THIS BLEW MY MIND!The wireless subwoofer that connects is behind my couch and the surround effect is super immersive and the bass hits rich deep levels while also keeping the treble at clear levels. I am very impressed and very happy I bought this system. The manual also talks about a 5 speaker wireless system that can be bought separately that can connect to this system which I will get to eventually buying to see how that is but this on its own is more than impressive.

Great Purchase
I was a bit hesitant to make this purchase because it was a refurb. However, it came with all pieces and was remarkably easy to set up and get going. the sound quality was way above expectation. to the point that i actually used it on our main TV to replace the outdated surround system that I currently had. The packaging was a little suspect when it showed up, but inside the box the units themselves were very well packaged and taken care of.
