Chan Luu is a designer of jewelry, accessories, and ready to wear. Originally from Vietnam, Chan moved to the United States in 1972 to study business at Boston University. In 1975, she moved to Los Angeles to study at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising to pursue her dream of becoming a fashion designer. In 1996, she began designing her own accessories marking the beginnings of the Chan Luu brand. Chan is known in the fashion industry for her artistic ability to combine organic shapes with contemporary ideas. Chan’s passion is to create jewelry, accessories and apparel that are unique, wearable, handmade, and inspired by cultures from around the world. Known for her beautiful wrap bracelets, which have become a staple in Chan's seasonal jewelry collections for over a decade and has become a popular style around the world. In 2001, the first wrap bracelet was designed and has since grown to incorporate a variety of materials including custom dyed leathers, sterling silver, gold vermeil, semi-precious stones, diamonds and Swarovski crystals. Every wrap bracelet is handcrafted in Vietnam by local artisans. Chan continues to be a trend leader in fashion today. I like it more then I thought I would
I like it more then I thought I would. I layer it with other gold chain with initial charm and it looks nice. Wore it on body lotion and sunscreen and so far it holds well. I just wash it with a little soap to keep it bright.
