The Littlest Horse Thieves

We saw part of this movie on a recent cruise and wanted to see the entire movie! Great family film! We had never heard of it and are so glad we found it!

here is a wonderful disney film about the conditions in the coal mines in yorkshire england set around the early 1900. the story centers around three children who try to save pit ponies when new machinery is about to be introduced at the coal mine.when the mine explodes only the pit ponies can save the men trapped underneath.the film shows some of the class distinction in england at the time.rich in history and heart this disney dvd is recommended for all ages

G-rated and still great fun. I LOVE the music, and the kids being from opposite ends of the social class was immensely heartwarming as they joined forces for the best of causes. And the family bonding over it all was super as well.

Both my wife and I liked this one, although I found it to be darker than most Disney films. It is probably not for the younger kids as it is pretty frank when dealing with horses who have outlived their usefulness and the realities of coal mining. Still, this tale of the facts of life when modernization and machinery take over the jobs of men and animals makes for a good story and an entertaining film, especially with a fine case of performers.

For a Disney movie, it didn't have a p/c plot.... just a good movie to share with the kids

I saw this movie many years ago on tv and have looked for it ever since. I'm glad it is out on DVD.

A movie I remembered from my childhood, and it is still a great movie. Quality isn't modern and a bit dark, but overall a fun movie to see.

I have not opened the package yet. I am sure it is fine.

Really excellent story I remember from childhood. I wanted to explain coal mining to my son as my father did that and this was a great vehicle to do that with sensitivity.
