Coccyx Gel Seat Cushion With Fleece Top 16" D x 18" W x 3"

I am thinking about buying another one. This is used for my broken tailbone. provides the best support and relief. It works well in the car. I have a Toyota corolla. It is often too thick to bring to a restaurant and sit at a booth and too wide to put on a standard dining chair at a restaurant, so I primarily keep it in my car. It works great in theatres and on planes. For planes or long road trips I combine this pillow with the blue travelrest self inflating pillow. The combo lifts you completely off of the pain, and creates a slight angle back so that you get complete relief. I also use the travelrest pillow for restaurants and office meetings. I am female 180 lbs now with my injury and a fairly large hiney. Guessing size 16 now, and it seems to fit this size. It is fairly heavy. I have had it for over a year and it has not lost any of its support or cushion. It is too large for office chairs as it lifts you too high and then your arms are not supported on the arm rests properly, to use an adjustable keyboard at the same time. It does fit in conference chairs well if they are wider. I have used them in long meetings and has made it possible for me to even survive the meeting. Airlines tend to complain that I am carrying an extra item until I tell them I will be sitting on it for an injury and then they are fine. I have bought several other type of tailbone wedges and this one works the best for the situations I mentioned. It has ben over 1.5 years since my broken tailbone and now I am able to drive without pain with this pillow. In the beginning I still felt pain even with the pillow, but significantly less then what I felt with other pillows. DO NOT BUY A DONUT. ONLY BUY A PILLOW WITH A WEDGE IN THE BACK FOR A BROKEN TAILBONE. A friend of mine who has sciatic nerve issue sat on this pillow and felt immediate relief. Good luck in your road to recovery!

Anyone who has seen my reviews can see that I've been looking for a pillow that provides lower back pain relief.This pillow is by far the best I've purchased so far, but still not quite what I'm looking for. The front rectangle of the pillow is very comfortable and the gel makes a big different.However, the two back arms do not have gel in them an are made up of foam only. They flatten easily, while the rest of the pillow does not. So, your tailbone is on the floor while your legs have a great cushion. Seems a bit backwards to me.I have turned it around so the arms are in the front. This provides a nice cushion to sit on. If you are looking for relief for the tail bone or a pillow to take pressure off of your spine, this pillow won't work. If you are looking for a comfy pillow for sitting on the floor, put the arms in the front and sit on the gel cushion.I'll keep looking....**EDIT****So, I decided to cave and by the Forever Comfy off of the TV infomercial. I usually ignore infomercials, but the product was so similar to what I was looking for that I couldn't help but pay attention. I just got the new cushions yesterday and I'm sitting on one now. Although I paid extra for double gel, I can barely tell there is gel at all! The seat cushion from Amazon was better than these. I think I'll put this one under the Coccyx Gel Seat Cushion and then maybe the foam arms won't matter as much? *sigh*With such a demand, you would think someone out there would create a good, quality cushion for those of us that are looking.At least you can know, this cushion by Amazon is better than the one from the infomercial.**Update**I had lower back surgery and need another surgery soon. So, I'm using cushions most of the day because I sit on many hard surfaces. The Forever Comfy cushions go completely flat after a few months!! The foam in them is garbage. I took one out of the cover just now to see if it really has gel inside. It does - it's between two pieces of foam that have been glues around the edges. I'm taking the gel pockets out and putting them into the Coccyx seat cushion.In the meantime,I'm going to order a couple of cushions from Amazon. If you follow this at all, I'll let you know how they stack up. So far the Coccyx is the best and has not flattened.

I went from driving a Mini Cooper to a Cadillac SRX in December, 2012. With that being said, I do better with smaller cars than with larger. I have had a time adjusting to the bigger size of my new car, and not very well, I might add.I have my seat as high as it will go and I still couldn't see out of my back passenger side window (I'm 5'4").I ordered this pillow and it came last night. I used it the first time today and so far, it has made a world of difference! I can now see out my back passenger window (which slopes upward toward the back of the car). I can't tell you what a difference that this pillow has made in me being able to see out of my car and to check on cars approaching on my right! I love this pillow!!!! Now, I feel more confident when driving my new car and that is something to be thankful for! And, it was such a simple fix!

I had purchased a different one before this and the one prior actually caused more pain then without one. This one on the other hand is exceptional. I work at a job where I sit most of the day and this enables me to function as if I didn't have this problem at all. I am going to purchase another for my car and would highly recommend it. Don't buy ones with the wedge, they enhance the pain, rather than helping it.Update on this product **** I use this each day at work and for the first four months it was awesome, but now it has lost it's heigth and no longer functions correctly. My tailbone now rests as normal, meaning that most of the pressure from sitting is on it. I am extremely disappointed that after only four months this cushion is ineffective. I have sent an email to the company regarding this issue and will update as to how it is taken care of in this review.
