Rotary 12530 Seat Suspension Only for Riding Mowers and Tractors

The bolt holes line right up, I had to add 3/4 spacers between the deck and suspension bracket to get full motion and another set of the same spacers between the seat and the suspension bracket for the seat sensor to clear. I also had to extend the seat sensor wiring about 10" so the seat can still be lifted as intended. All real simple to do and very worth it! The ride improvement is more than noticeable. There is a lot of weight difference between my wife and I but it's super simple to twist the adjustment knob 5 turns one way or the other and it works great for both of us.Surprisingly I didn't have to adjust the control handles on the mower, I think they were more comfortable after the suspension was installed.I had the spacers and wiring on hand in my barn and it took me about 45 minutes to install. I'll update Pics to the review later.I would absolutely buy another one without hesitation.

Fits New Kubota Z421 without modifications to either piece. You MUST remove the factory rails under the seat and put this plate between the old rails and seat. The instructions weren't extremely clear about this. If you don't, the holes will not match up and there will not be enough clearance for the mechanism to work. Look at the instructions carefully. Sliding track mounts to mower (must be flipped so the handle is out per instructions), spring plate mounts to sliding tracks (or not sliding if yours doesn't have this option), then the seat mounts to spring plate on top of it all. They provide new hardware which isn't pictured or mentioned in the description. I did re-use the large spacers on the back between the seat and spring plate so the seat didn't lean back so far. Manufacturing label is identical to the label on the seat leading me to believe it's the same manufacturer for both, and the same suspension kit option from Kubota. This one is obviously $100+ cheaper. I have only tested it sitting still but I do believe it'll soften up the ride on my rough yard.***EDIT 6-5-2017**- I finally got around to giving this product a test spin this weekend cutting approx 4.5 acres. HUGE ride improvement for me. I don't know how I did it without it before. I was completely oblivious as to what I was missing out on. I weigh about 165-170 and with the tension set right I felt it bottom out just a few times while cutting, otherwise just a nice cushy ride. Would definitely buy it again.

Would have given it a 5 star rating but a little pricey. I am a big guy so I was unsure if this would work for me. A little tricky to get it adjusted but when correct it glides. Took the painful jolts out of the bumps. Did need to drill some holes to fit.

I purchased this seat a couple of months ago for my two-year-old Kubota Z series Zero turn. It has zero suspension and my back, nuts, and man boobs shake rattle, and roll without suspension...I can barely get off the machine after an hour of mowing. This seat is well built and is pretty easy to fit. It fit my Kubota just fine with no drilling. The seat has a handy adjustment knob to dial in your weight. The goal is to tighten it just enough to prevent it from bottoming out on bumps. You sit approx 3 inches higher because of the spring plate system. I did need to adjust the steering bars up a couple of inches to compensate for the seat height increase. Overall I'm very happy. It does a GREAT job absorbing the hard impacts. It levels out the ride and I couldnt be happier. Time will tell if the seat holds up. I did grease the springs and also the adjustment bolt.

As many other reviewers say, the instructions, if any, are horrible.Unless you have an exact bolt on and the setup on your mower is perfect with a flat deck and a flat frame or plate mounting to your seat, you will have to "jury rig" this thing and get creative to make it work.It can be mounted upside down or backwards depending on your machine.But, once you've spent all day and an aching back getting it on, your back will thank you when going over rough ground and gopher mounds. If you're mowing smooth lawn, then no big deal. But, if you're mowing rough acreage, this thing is the "cats meow". I have a bad spine but enjoy mowing. I upgraded my seat to a deluxe seat and also installed this product and my zero turn is like another deluxe machine with a soft ride. Great!I'm planning on getting another one for my John Deere tractor. Knowing that I'll have to "make it work" and get creative ahead of the install will make it go a lot better with less frustration. I am retired from the trades and very mechanically inclined, and it still took a workshop full of tools to make this thing install correctly. I had to use several unibits as well.So, just be prepared for either a smooth and quick install or one that will require patience and creativity.** 20% restocking fee and no prepaid return shipping. I ordered this for a Kubota Z411kw-48 and it required no drilling or modifications to fit. I could not find reviews specific to a Z411 only for a Z421. For anyone with the Z411 this worked perfectly. Relatively easy to install. The factory seat rails need to be flipped as stated in the reviews for other Kubota models. The handle to adjust the seat forward and back will be relocated to the left outside of the seat when seated on the mower. The only other advice I have is to remember to plug the seat occupancy switch back in. This is also mentioned in other reviews... I still forgot and spent a majority of the install time taking things back apart to get the switch plugged in. Looks like a solid product, very heavy duty. This item along with adjusting the tire pressures on my mower made a huge difference in ride.

Ordered this and installed it on my Kubota Z421. Perfect fit with no need to drill any holes.My only negative experience with my mower was the rough ride on my back, and this seat has eliminated that concern. Definitely recommend it!!!

My back is thanking me for it. One little issue, when the spring lifts me up there's not enough weight detected and the engine is turning off but the weight comes back quick enough that it keeps going.
