Overall these are are good lights which need a few enhancements. The mains plug has the lights screw in lead above the earth pin which means they cant' be plugged into a normal fixed weatherproof out door mains socket. I had to use an extension lead into a weatherproof box. Once sealed in the box the remote which is infra red is redundant.Which is a nuisance as the lights do not keep their setting when switched off There is an 8 hour repeat timer but if you want the lights to switch on twice a day on one specific setting i.e. white, you can't they default to full colour demo modeWhite is the only one of the colours that you have on a steady setting all of the colours follow various flashing patterns.You dim them though so I have a very nice set of warm white lights with a colour option when needed.

I bought these lights last Christmas and they were brilliant. Remote worked occasionally but no biggy. Only downfall at the time was having to select the mode you wanted everytime you turned them back on. But now I have put them back on the tree and they have worked for 1 day and will no longer turn on. So disappointed I will now need to take all the decorations off the tree and find replacement lights. I've never had lights that on last one christmas. Definitely no value for money if you only get 1 use out them

The colors on the lights are great, the slow fade between the different colours shows them off really well. I've set them up outside plugged into a timer. Deducting one star as there isn't a memory function, so when they switch back on I have to go and change the setting again. The remote control doesn't have enough power to connect to the plug in the weather proof box. So that's slightly annoying also. Plus be aware when you get them out for the first time, they tangle up really easy, and a nightmare to undo!All considered though, for the price and the length I'm thinking about buying more.

Excellent lights, bought two strings to attach together although one string is plentiful.Very pleased with them, would have had 5 stars but one of the remotes doesn't work properly luckily I have 2.Ordered and delivered on the same day too.Edit - I was so pleased with these lights I recently ordered 2 more sets however they have changed (see pic). The white is bright rather than warm and there is only one colour setting rather than the original light colours mixed with white and bright colours. The newer lights that come aren't strictly as advertised.

It's nice and looks good but the remote is not easy to use

I like them but sadly can't choose how long you want the lights on and when with the timer. It goes on a 6 hours on and then 18 hours off thing I think from when you press the timer button. It also doesn't remember what you wanted flashing wise and will revert back to its number 1 setting but most lights do. They look bright and colourful, perfect for my nightmare before Christmas tree

I’ve strung these up at the living room window using transparent command hooks. They look very effective. I like the option to dim. I’ve marked the remote down a star as it feels very very flimsy and I thought the static setting (#8) was broken for a few awful moments - I hate flashing lights. This was purely down to the construction of the control.I won’t let my children touch it as I know it wouldn’t cope with their heavy handedness.I’d consider getting other colour combinations.If I could change anything it would be that static is the default setting (incase we loose the control in the future).
