I am a pro spear-fisherman and Master Scuba Diver Trainer. I only use products that I can guarantee to my students and the clients on my boat. The mono is great quality and is most definitely something I would use on my gun and recommend to others....but I ordered this product primarily because of the accessories that came with it, the crimp sleeves and loop protectors. Sadly, I only received the mono and cannot comment on the quality of the entire kit.I also needed this kit In a time crunch, and did receive the package in time but again, it was missing the key elements that make this product a “kit”. Sadly I decided to return it and purchase another kit at that moment, but will most likely purchase it again in the future.

I used this mono on my Mares speargun. I primarily wreck and bridge spearfish. I love this mono. I've shot multiple 40+lb fish with this to include 2 50lb black drum. For those familiar with those kind of fish, they love to swim to pylons and do circles and try to break the line off. I've had this mono with massive gouges out of it and numerous nicks and it held. I've looked at and have just been amazed the fish didn't break it. Of course I replace it before the next trip, but it still surprised me it didn't snap. Additionally, the thimbles and clamps are high quality and I have yet to have a crimp slip. I highly recommend this product.

The line is fine and should be strong enough for what I want to fish, nevertheless, I wish it will be more flexible. Some problems to fix it to my buoy with the caps system delivered with it. It could be me, as this is the first time I am using that unit. I cut it in two-part to use it at different times, deep during the year.

My fellow spearos know this line is top shelf for big fish!

I bought 500lbs witch is 2mm in diameter for my speargun it works great i recomend to but the 400 or even the 300lbs as this is too thick and non flexable. Also the crimps are copper with is used for wire braid not mono. It should be aluminum crimp other then that i would recomend. Great service as well
