Levi's Men's 511 Slim Fit Stretch Jeans

When these jeans arrived, I thought they were fake. The denim felt thin and cardboard stiff. But I wore them a lot and washed them a little, thinking it was just a problem with new jeans. My first impression was correct. I’ve owned several pairs of these exact 511 Levi’s, but this was the first bought online. I don’t know if these are “fake,” but these are not like the Levi’s you’d buy at a department store. While the jeans look fine, the fabric is very thin and it has not gotten any softer with age - which is what happens with real denim. What upsets me is that I didn’t save anything buying on Amazon; it was just convenient. I’m sticking with department stores for jeans from now on.

I am 6' and 180lb and bought 32x32 Rigid Dragon, New Khaki and Rigid Grey. I had previously bought the Jet Black and they fit just fine, so I was excited to revamp my jean drawer.Unfortunately these three did not come as expected.Rigid dragon: Baggier in the calf for some reason. Had to make sure I'd bought the same Slim Fit, and I had. After a wash, they fit perfectly.New Khaki: Came in way too baggy. I felt like I was wearing snow pants, especially because they make that *swish swish* sound when you walk for some reason (only pair that does this). Drying on high heat got these to a managable but not ideal fit :/Rigid Grey: These had the worst change. They came in baggy just like the New Khaki, then after a regular wash shrunk significantly. I still gave them a chance and am currently sitting here in my office, ankles uncomfortable cold. I have to wear them lower at the waste than is comfortable just so the bottom of the jeans touch my shoes when standing. Heaven help me of I stretch my legs out or bend my knee though, leaving my ankles and above bare.It seems different styles have different fits. Really disappointed after finding one good pair, then paying over a hundred dollars for three pairs with only one truly solid pair.

I love the jeans. They're the best fitting, best feeling jeans I've ever owned. The material is a bit stretchy and form-fitting without being restrictive. It's a fitted jeans that feels relaxed. Great.But... what happened to the quality of the Levi's label on the back? The label on this pair literally disintegrated after only about 10 or 12 washes. I've only owned these jeans since mid-October 2018, and at the time of writing this review it is nearing the end of January 2019. I never wash my clothes in harsh detergents, and I always dry them on low heat. The labels on other brands of jeans that I own have held up fine for years. The Levi's label ripped like cheap paper. I'd love to buy another couple pair of these, but I'm thinking maybe not now.

Got these jeans for my husband who is picky. They fit as expected and he said they were very comfortable so they would have been great but they wore through in the front around the pockets in less than 4 months. If he had been out horseback riding in them or doing construction work maybe it would be more understandable but instead he was wearing them to a desk job.I understand that because these are skinny jeans they need a percentage of spandex in them for stretch but that's no reason to skimp on the sturdiness, especially at this price point.

Was not knowing what to expect based on some of the reviews and purchasing sight unseen but these jeans fit me perfect. Probably the best fitting jeans I have now. I can't figure out how they incorporated the little bit of stretch with these jeans but it's great. They don't fit or look like "skinny jeans" at all. I had been wearing the loose fit but got tired of how baggy they looked. These jeans take out that baggy look but still give me room.

Different colours of the Levi's 511 jeans never fit quite the same. It must be intentional since they are so disparate. It may also have something to do with in which country they are made.. Some 511 styles fit very tight at the waist while other 511 styles fit looser at the waist. Then there are some that fit very roomy down the leg while others are quite slim.The Rinsed Playja fits normally at the waist but it's slimmer down the leg than most of the other 511. The 511 sequoia is very roomy by comparison and longer too. It's obviously simply a function of each individual's build which 511 suits one best. For me, rinsed playa is the best 511 style.

I bought this 511 model 2 years ago (2 separate styles of it, actually) and they were perfect - both 99% cotton 1% elastane. They wore and felt like "Levi's". Now, the imported version of Levi's jeans are made often with funkier cotton blends. So be careful and read the descriptions. This one I over-looked the blend description - and it has 17% Polyester! ... which makes it feel more like "retirement easy-care pants". They are still fine and I will wear them, but I immediately ordered a pair of their "511 Made in USA" pants - which are the 99% cotton versions that *used* to be standard. And of course those are $30 more than these cheaper fabric imported versions. So goes marketing in the USA and industry short-cuts. And hence 3 stars. PS - description also says "button closure" but it's a zipper. Fine with that.

I have multiple pairs of Levi 511 jeans and clearly I did not pay attention to the variations in fabric. One pair is 100% cotton, one pair is 99% cotton with 1% elastane, and this pair I purchased is 81.5% cotton, 17% polyester, 1.5% elastane. This combination of fabric provides the most stretch and for me, the absolute best fit. There are also additional fabric combinations. It is odd, but the fabric seems to make more of a difference than the Levi numbered fit (501, 511, etc.) I ordered another pair of 511 jeans with a different fabric that did not fit at all. If you are going to buy these jeans online, be aware of those differences. Sadly the color you want may not be in the fabric you like. Also if you are going to order jeans from Amazon Online, it pays to be a Prime Member and ONLY order Prime eligible stuff.

I purchased these for my son who wanted them for work but didn't like the fit of the 501's. He was extremely happy. The fit was true to size and they are slim fitting not skinny. The colour was 'Throttle' and was not as faded as the photo on Amazon and I would say just a little bit darker blue which is nice.

These jeans are at least 2 sizes smaller than it states on the label, there is no way they are a 36" waist, i have a pair of same jeans with 36" waist that i bought locally and they fit like a glove. 9
