I loved this flashlight until....
I dropped it!Now it will only go into what I can only term as "demo mode" switching from mode to mode, main beam, flashing red LED's, white LED's, main beam flashing, main beam steady... and on and on. It won't even turn off with the switch. So I stuck it in a desk drawer and let the battery run down. I even thought a depletion would "reset " the sequence to manual but, it did not. So now it sits on my desk, looking cool, but not of any use.Odd that its rugged design could not prevent a drop off a table-top making go into "demo" mode and get stuck there.

What I like about the torch (1)
The torch light is very powerful. What I like about the torch (1): sturdy build (2) powerful light (3) various light modes. I have particularly used it as a torch as well as Emergency lamp. But the other modes such as strobe and sos are also available (4) it stays with charge longer. The only wish for improvement would be efficiency when charging via the sun. It seems to require so many hours

Doesn't hold a charge and solar is useless.
First of all, the listing says it has a 2000mAH battery and a 50mA solar panel, but also that it magically charges in 10 hours of sun. Uh...No. 50mA x 5 volts x 10 hours = 500 mAH at 5 volts, or 675 mAH at the battery's nominal 3.7 volts. So not even halfway, and this assumes a theoretical and impossible 100% charging efficiency. 10 hours of direct sunlight requires two sunny days in most American locations. Also, mine self discharge inside of a month or two, so they certainly don't hold a charge for years. All the positive reviews show you how unreliable Amazon reviews have become. People open a box, see something shiny that makes light as advertised and think it must be great, so leave a review. It's not. It's a fad. Ths flashlight design was at one point advertised all across the web, oftentimes with the word "patriot" associated with it and no doubt sold like hotcakes due to that marketing. The compass is even off on one of them by at least a dozen degrees -- How do you screw that up? Might successfully break a car window and is fairly bright if you keep it charged up via USB. If they'd advertised it as such I'd have given it some stars.

Pretty useful for no more than it is.
I have now spent some time with this light and will now share my thoughts.Overall it has been a very handy light. I find that I use it a lot in the garage as a small flat work light in some places or when under a vehicle doing work. Being so slim it doesnt take up a lot of room like a typical drop light. Also it doesnt have a cor so I dont roll over it with a creeper.I did glue 4 small neo magnets to the corners so that it can be "stuck" to some places while working. Cheap and easy fix to make it that much more useful. The light does have a high and low along with a SOS mode. Never needed SOS but it is there. I almost always use high mode for everything and works great. At night when I come in the house and everyone is asleep I use low. Softer on the eyes and yet I can see to get around without waking everyone. It does have a solar panel but I have not really had a way to test its charge rate. Its handy for just tossing it up on the dash of the truck or in a window sill. Though it is not going to be the fastest charging option it is way better than nothing. The "button" for turning on and off is surprisingly a touch sensitive style. So no click or flick style to wear out here. Easy to brush against it to change modes as apposed to actually having to press a button. On one end is also a hole with a metal grommet in it that comes w a small "D" ring. Ive used it to hang from nails while working in the basement and also in the attic. Id guess if you were using this camping light for camping then hanging it in the center of the tent would make a great tent light. During the day just hang it in the sun for a trickle charge.Speaking of charging. It does come w a standard usb to micro usb charge cable. Once plugged in it does have a red charging led and when finished it changes to blue I believe. Dont really charge it often since it takes a while to drain it. It is nice to have the led indicators for charge status.Overall Im pleased with my purchase, I think it will come in quite handy for a while. Just have to update more as time goes on.

I was very disappointed.
I bought several to give as gifts. Features were spot on. However, 2 flashlights arrived and did not work at all. This included after charging. I was very disappointed.

Definetly not worth the price.
So far it is a fantastic flashlight. I've had it a couple of months now. . The beam reaches out into the woods which is about 150 feet clearly. It illuminates further but I didn't measure. We lost power last week while I was reading. I used the low beam and read for another 25 minutes plus used it around the house on and off for the next 2 hours. I still haven't recharged it in a window and it is still a strong beam. I originally bought the flashlight for the house to replace a LL Bean solar flashlight that stopped working after two years. This flashlight is much brighter and the beam extends further than the Bean flashlight did. It has a glass break tool on it so I worry if it gets knocked to the floor it will break my tile so I'm passing it off to husband to use for work. This flashlight impressed me enough that I bought another flashlight from Eceen that is not as powerful nor as heavy for the house. That flashlight reaches into the woods almost as far as this one. Definetly worth the price paid.Update - I've had this flashlight for a year in the work truck. I have only used it occasionally and I keep it on the dash. It stopped working. As for the other eccen flashlight it never charged from sunlight. It would only charge with USB. That flashlight doesn't charge at all now. Very disappointed. Would not recommend.

All in one, Great find. Good to have one in each car. White long torch light (like long tube), White LED work lights, Safety RED LED lights with blinking mode, Heavy duty glass breaker (girls can use this as safety weapo*) , seat belt cutter for emergency, Magnet to stick in a steel, Power bank ... wow.. what else we need?
