OXO Good Grips 16oz Travel Coffee Mug With Leakproof SimplyClean™ Lid - Terra Cotta

My daily use coffee mug. Coffee stays hot, unlike traditional mugs, cups, etc. Top edges/surfaces are smooth, no leaks. Like the twist to seal top, very effective. Very easy to clean. Especially like the easy clean lid/top. Well thought out product. No ratchety, wobbly buttons to push, no springs that don't properly engage, no Fort Knox manual locking tabs to fight with! The only suggestion I might have is to maybe use a slightly rougher finish on the mug itself. A slightly recessed grip area, rubber grip area? Seems a little too slippery when gripping or holding. Overall, excellent product, OXO!

I love this mug. I can drink my hot tea all through the morning. Knock it over and it doesn’t leak.

I'm really particular about what I look for in a travel mug, and there is a lot about this one that I like. But the biggest issue I have with this mug is that it's a SERIOUS pain to open. The mouth of the mug where the lid screws on is pretty wide- if you over-tighten the lid even a tiny bit, it seals so damn well that unscrewing it can be almost impossible if you have smaller or (like me) very dry hands. I just cannot fit my hand around the width of the mug well enough to get traction to open it, especially in the dryer months where the skin of my hands turns to paper. The way the lid comes apart for cleaning exacerbates this even more so, since if you try to grab the lid from above by the top it'll just come apart into its pieces. If you have bigger hands or the grip strength of Alex Honnold you probably will never have this problem, and aside from this it's a pretty good mug. 1000% leak-proof for sure!

I was a fan of the previous version, but this ones even better. Super easy to take a part and easy to put together. That's very helpful when cleaning it. Keeps my coffee warm. Love the sixe of the drink hole and the little lip that's next to it. It regulates a reasonable act of liquid, but not too much that I burn myself or pour liquid all over me.

This mug does keep coffee hot for a while, but it goes downhill from there. It does not fit in my Keurig even with the drain plate removed so I have to brew the coffee in another container and then pour it in the mug which is a deal breaker even if there were no other issues. The "Simply Clean" lid assembly is anything but. It is very difficult to get it completely unscrewed and apart and it is a real pain to get in all of the nooks and crannies to dry it. It is leak proof when closed but that is not enough to offset all of the other issues.

Really impressed with the current Oxo mug. Have had 2 prior versions with the push-button lids, and they have been great. Eventually, however, the button fails and the mug stays open or closed most of the time. Also, the previous lids were not designed to be disassembled, so it wasn’t possible to ever get them throughly clean without using soaking tablets. This new version has a rotating lid instead of a button, which takes 2 hands but is far more secure and robust. It can be disassemble for complete cleaning. And the double wall construction is vastly improved relative to prior versions. I’ve been very pleased.

I’m a travel mug connoisseur (some might say addict). This one was to replace my long-used OXO push-button mug, and I was concerned about some reviews on ease of use. No longer! I’ve used it (road, plane, office, home) for a couple of months, and I love the feel. Right shape and size, nice solid sense of opening and closing. Yes, many will use too hands to twist, but it’s easy. So secure when closed! It is easier to take off the lid if the drinking hole is open, to reduce suction.

These oxo mugs are the best. We have one for each family member now. They're the only ones I've found that can be completely dismantled for cleaning.

Finally a keep cup I can lay down in my bag with no leakage at all - brilliant! Washes up easily too.
