A great little mp3 player for its price
The AGPtEK M20 8GB Mini MP3 player is a great little player for its price point. While it does have some minor quirks, there are work arounds for these that make this a great player to have in your mp3 player arsenal.First off the player, while small is built sturdy. It's case is some kind of metal (don’t ask me which), and will be able to stand considerable wear and tear. It’s small, and can fit anywhere. Most important it has good sound. State of the art sound, I’m not sure, but definitely comparable to that of many of its competitors. I have a 32gb micro card in mine and it can hold a substantial number of songs. The major quirk is the filing system for you songs. If you have songs on the internal 8gb memory and also on an inserted card (external memory), the player will not combine both in playing modes (such as shuffle or if you want to play an artist that you have in both internal and external memory). While this may be a handicap, I actually see this as a benefit as there are certain types of music that I would not listen to together during one listening session (classical and rock for example). Also I put podcasts on the internal and songs on the external memory, so this seems like a natural separation. Also, I found it difficult at first to play songs by a genre for example. There are album and artist menu options to select when in the play mode, but no genre option. I really like, for example, to hear a mix of blues artists when listening as opposed to just blues songs only by one artist or album. The work around is easy. I use windows explorer to drag and drop songs into folders on the player. I have created folders that I’ve named blues, folk, jazz, classical for example. Then when I have blues songs, I drag them into the blues folder. During play mode I select the folders main menu option, open the blues folder, and play all the song there in shuffle mode. If I want to listen to an entire album by one blues artist, I go to the music main menu, and can select a blues album and play the whole album. This is actually a very nice workaround. This is my 2nd AGPtEK product, the first was the IMP mp3 player. I am impressed by the quality that they put into their products, and when comparing quality, price and all other factors, I think you will be very pleasantly surprised by this little player.

sreen lock works not like ithers
I use this mp3 player for work. I work on a machine and my job can be physical sometimes. This player suits my needs perfectly. I needed a player that is discrete. I put it in my front pocket. It hides well and does not make a big bump or get in the way. The buttons on the side are perfect cause they allow me to lock screen and adjust volume by putting my hand in my pocket and feeling around. The lock is better than some as it slides up and down and not a push button so it doesnt get bumped (annoying for me cause I listen to audiobooks and podcasts) and make you start at the beginning of an 8 hour audiobook. Sounds good too. I have had about 6 mp3 players for work in 5 years and they all were different, This one is not fancy. It is metal not plastic. It has manual buttons on sides that make adjusting volume without looking a snap. I make a playlist easily and just hit play at 7 am and play music for two hours and then switches to a podcast and then plays music for end of day. It does this well. Other players I have had a problem with the lockout switching off and music or worse audiobook changing cause I bumped it. It also has a nice feature where it will jump 10 minutes by holding down the fast forward, Its cool for finding place in audiobook. Plays FLAC files too...thats a popular format when downloading music off web although mp3 is still most popular. no annoying FILE FORMAT NOT RECOGNIZED because you got music from a friend or pirated it, Cheap, durable and alot of memory with sd card. no one is gonna want to check it out but its weight and feel are nice. 3 weeks in and it hasnt died during my shift yet.

Great Time traveling mp3 player.
Aside from a few minor issues, this is a great mp3 player for the price.Pros:-Menus are simple and easy to navigate.-Requires no special software, just drag and drop-Well built and attractive design.Cons:-Only power button wakes device.-Small glitches with time and date.So this particular mp3 player had a glitch where it only allows you to see time in 24hr format not 12 hr regardless of which you choose. Also it displays the year as 4017. If your a not good with military time maybe choose the silver model. I bought one of each and silver worked perfectly no glitches. The FM recording was a large factor in my purchasing this model so with that said a few things about it. No limit on recording except memory space is great though I wish there was a feature to edit tracks on the devise for example splitting a recording into multiple tracks. Decent reception, and simple controls. The headphones that come with it are cheap but sound surprisingly decent for cheap headphones. I will update once I have some data on battery life and recording battery life.

Compact With a Lot of Features
This little MP3 player has a ton of features especially for the size and price. I wanted a small unit for working out at the gym and this unit fits the bill. It is easily to carry in a pocket or a small carrying case clipped on my gym shorts. It features an FM radio, voice recorder for thoughts which one wants to remember, ebook, the music player, etc. The screen is really too small for reading but audio books might work. I haven't tried this feature yet. The MP3 music features are very good with multi playlists to separate music for occasion, mood, etc. When I first obtained this unit the year display was incorrect but the company responded with an firmware update within 24 hours and this is now corrected. One note of caution. The directions are brief, short, and only describe the most basic of operations. I did not find the detailed operations intuitive to use but with trial and error I was able to learn how to use all of them.

You get what you pay for
It's a cheap mp3 player. It doesn't do a lot of things as smoothly like an actual one. You are better off learning to use your phone to play music.

I like the small and compact MP3 player
I like the small and compact MP3 player. However, the shuffle function doesn't seem to entirely work - it'll shuffle music, but it seems to "prefer" a small number of...

Not a great choice for a small MP3 player
Not a great choice - impossible to make and retrieve playlist on the device, and otherwise non-intuitive controls which are hypersensitive to touch.

Horrible.
Although it looked new, this product came to me used (had previously installed files on it) and did not function properly. Returned it the next day.

Simple, effective
Great for when you want something that simply holds a lot of music. Also has a fun radio function. UI is a bit awkward, but whattaya want? It has 4 buttons for crying out loud.

This is NOT a good buy in my opinion
I bought this around a month ago, and it worked well for the first couple of weeks, but then the screen started to fade.

Patch didn’t work for me. Wish I knew it was in testing
Maybe for a kid or youth to play with, without a ton of money invested. Didn’t realize this product was in test mode.
