They aren’t secured. They will blow away with a yard blower. You can use a hot glue gun to stick them to something heavy, like a rock…

Are these all sealed to prevent mold?

I don’t know. They’re very similar to other pieces I’ve had. I’ve had Fairy villages left outdoors for a year in all sorts of weather - freezing, snow, ice, extreme heat, etc. Basically these kind of pieces last two years outdoors before they start to change color. I haven’t noticed mold on any pieces. The ones in the SE USA change color faster than the ones up north in snow country. It’s been a while since I tried washing any fairy village pieces, and they have cleaned up fairly well, but don’t look new, of course

Do the toadstools have stakes?

No and I in fact had to drill holes for stakes
