Dash Cam Hardwire Kit, 11.5ft Mini USB Hard Wire Kit for Dashcam Converts 12V-24V to 5V/2.5A w/ Fuse Kit and Installation Tool, Low Voltage Protection

I bought this in hopes it would do as it claimed. Which is turn off power to the camera after the vehicle battery reaches a certain drainage. That way I can still start my truck in the mornings. But Nooooooooooo. It STILL drains the battery, which is new and has been checked. I've even tried turning off my dash cam's parking mode, but the next morning the battery was still drained! Only now it tries to turn over. But without enough power, it refuses and completely dies immediately. Forcing me to not only reset my radio but the dash cam as well. If you don't mind jumping your vehicle every morning, then go ahead and buy this kit. Otherwise, go back to using the cigar lighter port and just unplug your camera at night.

Install was easy, and works good for a dash cam.

Not working as expected, followed the instructions exactly by connection the yellow wire to constant power that never goes off and the red wire to an acc fuse in the same fuse box (inside car). The dash camera operates fine except it never goes off even after turning off the ignition fully and even though the parking mode on the camera is turned off. I am wondering if the wires are mislabeled and the red is suppose to be constant and the yellow acc because I saw other sellers on Amazon labeling as such. Also, could it be the brand of camera not operating correctly in parking mode? I just hope the safety function to prevent the battery from draining pass a certain level is working correctly, haven't had the time to test yet.

I had previously purchased the VIOFO HK3 ACC Hardwire Kit for my A119 v3 dashcam. It didn't work at all. This kit worked perfectly the first time and included all of the fuses and trim tools to do the job.

Guess would have been great, but "USB PLUG didn't fit MY small USB plug.We should have checked that first...didn't. So all in was super easy to install...till it didn't fit. I returned it and now run it directly to my battery.

After the second time, gave out after a few months.

Wired for dash cam….did not work….checked all fuses…in line fuse…completely DEAD…After much investigation, used the included cigarette charging cable…that worked fine.Upon further investigation, the plug on the unit is defective….By now my return for credit or exchange with Amazon has expired..and 13 bucks is gone.And of course on the package is made in China…Upset, frustrated with the product and Amazon….We’ll see if they even read and respond to comments….I think not.
