"Life changing" is such an overused expression but it really applies for this band
I love lap swimming but have had so much trouble with water in my ears that I had almost given it up. I tried this out of desperation (together with the Macks soft ear plugs) and I am just amazed-- it really does work! I have used the band and the plugs four times so far this June and have not gotten any water in my ears. I almost cannot believe such an inexpensive and simple solution has virtually changed my life. I have been wearing the band underneath a silicone swim cap. Before having this, the swim cap would always lift up and away from my ears. Now, the band stays where it is supposed to be, snug over the ears, and the cap provides an extra level of protection. I am so happy I got this band and the plugs. Now if I could just get my goggles to stay consistently sealed and dry!Would just like to add, three years later, that I am still using this, and it still works so well. I have found that it is easier to put on if I put the velcro closing in front rather than behind. Easier to put on and take off, and covers my ear just as well if not better. I am getting several back ups of this!Several years later, still swimming, still using the neoprene band every time. Have discovered that it is easier to put on and works just as well is I close it in front, below my chin and then lift it up into place. I spend several minutes getting the ear plugs, band, silicone cap and then the goggles on, all very carefully, but it is so worth it to be able to swim for an hour with no water in my ears or my eyes.

Helpful but sizing may not be as ideal for young kids
Got this for my 2 year old who has ear tubes and needs to protect his ears from water. It definitely helps prevent water from getting into his ears, but the size may not be perfect for him. The band tends to slip down or show his ear if I get it high enough where it doesn’t slide off. Still helps when he’s swimming though. Better than nothing.

Very small
The band is very small and sized for a toddler's head. That being said, I did buy this same band approximately 15 years ago when my 2 year old punctured her ear drum and I had to keep water out of her ear during baths, swimming, etc.It was excellent then so I was happy to buy again years later with the hopes that this size would fit my other kid who has ALSO punctured her ear drum and is a teenager. But don't be fooled by the women in the picture because this thing did not even think about fitting an adult sized head. And to answer any burning questions you may have:No, I don't know why both of my daughters have each punctured their ear drums at very different stages in their lives. And yes, I'm keeping my fingers crossed that my son does not become a member of the busted ear drum club that seems to be a thing around here. Why are kids the way that they are?So just know that merely trying this on my 14 year old's head was comical. 😂To sum up:Yes for toddlers and younger!Hard pass for anyone who has a fully formed skull!

Great Idea
I use this for my granddaughter while she is in the pool. It covers her ears since she has tubes and stays on great underneath her goggles.

Ridiculously small should be labeled infant up to three-year-old.
This is completely false advertising this thing is way too small. It's not even close. As I said it should be labeled for an infant up to a three-year-old that's it. A piece of junk. I had a similar item before so I didn't bother open it, so now I can't return it and I am upset about it I think Amazon should not carry this product because it is fraudulent advertising is completely false it is way, way, way too small it's not even close. If you are an adult male it will not fit your head. Fit is terrible.

Headband
This headband has been amazing holding my son’s earplugs in when he’s in the water. After getting tubes we are very cautious with water. He’s excited to put it on and it’s a good fit and very comfortable for him.

Goes the trick
I started swimming regularly last year and wanted to avoid additional ear infections. Cap was bulky but usable. Just got a set of conduction headphones and they sound poor through the cap. The band does the trick. Insert earplugs. Put the headphones over the ears. Then the band. Last the goggles. Perfect. Sound is good (we'll see if the headphones hold up) and the band covers the ears better than the cap. I don't have the biggest swelled head, so larger guys should look for an extra large band.
