Unipack Adjustable Dumbbells

One of the most affordable adjustable dumbbells I've found so far
Before the dumbbells review, I would like to mention little bit about the delivery experience. The order was supposed to be delivered on 17th June 2020. I got an order update in the morning that it's out for delivery. I eagerly waited. At around 4.30pm, I got an update that "delivery was attempted, but couldn't be delivered due to some BS reason". The carrier was USPS (United States Postal Service), and I read reviews about USPS being notorious while delivering heavy items like these ones. I raised a request for re-delivery with USPS and got an update 2 days later. Did you guess the update? - "delivery was attempted" :-) Finally I went to the local post office and got the dumbbells home yesterday (23rd June 2020).Now, about the dumbbells. A few things that I immediately noticed,Pros:1. The quality looks excellent. For the dumbbells at this price point, the quality exceeds expectations.2. Dumbbell bars are not too long, just the right length. However, during few exercises like chest press or shoulders press, they may touch each other. But that's not a big problem as such.3. The best part of these dumbbells is 1.25 lbs plates. These allow you to progress the weights in 2.5 lbs increment. Even some of the popular adjustable dumbbells in the market do not give 2.5 lbs increment option.Cons:1. The black paint looks little cheap. It started chipping and sticking to my hands just while taking the plates out of the box.2. Doesn't come with the holding tray. I had to order it separately.3. The plates are made up of cast iron without a rubber coating. So, they make a lot of noise. For me, it's a minor con. That's it for now. Once I start using these dumbbells regularly, I will update the review if I notice anything worth sharing here.

Nice Set. I won't have to keep buying separate dumbbells.
I ordered the 105 pound set which comes with 2 bars and twisting connectors (5 pounds each), four 1 1/4 pound plates, four 2 1/2 pound plates, and sixteen 5 pound plates. This makes for up to 52 1/2 pounds each side. I like that it includes the 1 1/4 pound plates, because I like to increase my work out weights slowly for a smooth progression and to avoid injury. Each bar is almost 16 inches long, so I had to adjust my workout in a few of the exercises, so they wouldn't bang into each other. I looked at each plate when I received the set and filed off a few of the small sharp metal burrs sticking out. It takes me about 2 minutes to add or subtract a few plates from the set. As long as I tighten them up enough, they won't rattle, and I wouldn't want to take the chance of having a plate possibly fall off. Be careful, because if you bang the plates around, paint chips might come off. Also pay attention to the various prices. Some with or without the trays, or in black or green can have drastically different prices, even at the same weight. If you don't want to get blisters, I recommend a pair of Grip Power Pads on Amazon for about $10 or a pair of weight lifting gloves. These seem well made, and are a bargain compared to the expensive top of the line Ironmaster dumbbells. I'm glad I won't have to keep buying separate dumbbells, and can now put all my old ones on Craigslist. My home dumbbell workout includes about 20 different exercises that works out most of my upper body muscles. I supplement it with pushups, leg raises, some easy squats, and sometimes pullups and chin ups at the local playground. A real time (and money) saver, since I don't have to travel to the gym and back.

INCREDIBLE Value
After being halfway through a 4 month waitlist for a popular adjustable dumbbell that was twice the cost, I was over it. I have been searching for good dumbbells for over a year. Well...this is it. I'm in love with this purchase!Pros - heavy duty all-metal construction! adjustable up to 52.5 pounds each.Cons - lots of plates to deal with (requiring space), a little annoying to have to twist off the end each time you change the weight. Bar sticks out a little far so you have to watch yourself. The weights are a little smelly (iron and oil) at first.Bottom line - incredible value for the price, especially considering shipping, which was super quick. You can do so many workouts with the versatility of these dumbbells. Overall, you can't beat it!

Good quality for a budget price
The shafts are nice and fat for a good grip, the nuts have integral (and replaceable) O-rings for a and quieter and more secure fit and a set of replacement O-rings is included. There is also a full set of 4-1.25# plates for making 2.5# adjustments in weight. I noticed that the carrier only brought the packages half way to the front porch (100#), so you might check your front walk for the package if you are expecting these at your house.

I was very impressed by this product. To begin with, it arrived on time. The weights were as appeared in the photos. I am pleased with this purchase. I will go to this company for my future weights needs.
