The first Rocky Mountain Barber Company beard balm I ordered was the full size tin of the Cedarwood scent. I found I like the balm and I liked the Cedarwood scent. Then I found this four pack and ordered it to see what the other scents were like.Everyone has a different preference so I will not attempt to describe the scents. What smells good to one person smells different to another. There are times when I prefer no scent at all. The unscented fills that preference very nicely. Of the other three I find Sandalwood to be the strongest and longest lasting. The Cedarwood also has a longer lasting scent, but not as long as Sandalwood.This leaves Bamboo as the fastest for the scent to fade. As far as the scent goes, my least favorite is Sandalwood, due to the strong long lingering scent. It reminds me of the scent of a candle my wife has.My personal favorite of the three scented balms is Bamboo, but Cedarwood come in a very close second. Cedarwood has a pleasant scent and the scent lasts longer than Bamboo. I highly recommend the Rocky Mountain Barber Company beard balms.These beard balms are labeled as being Made in Canada. I have been looking for a balm that is a little waxier than most, which seem to be more oily. This product seems to be more between a balm and a wax, which is exactly what I wanted! It helps easily control unruly beard hairs and keep everything looking, and smelling, great. I purchased the variety pack since I have not used this product previously and I really enjoy all of the scents, and the unscented one - so I may just purchase this again in the future! Plus the smaller tins of balm are nice to have on hand in the office, at home, etc. so I can always touch up the beard!

Good sample pack to try different scents. All 4 have nice scents that are fairly nose-blind after the first few minutes, I don't like beard oil or balm that I can smell throughout the day, the scent isn't for me after all. All of them work well as moisturizers, I've been using them daily for about a month and there's no itch or "beard-ruff" so they're working fine as moisturizers. I would like a little more hold from them, some other brands have a little more holding/shaping power to keep the stray hairs in place - that's why there's a star missing.Here's the feedback on the smells from my sources:Original - Nice scent, smells kind of like Old Spice, good for every day wear.Bamboo - Light scent, almost smells like I don't have anything at all in my beard.Cedar - "You smell like you got an uppercut from a redwood"Sandalwood - Okay scent, kind of hippy-ish.

Excellent balms. I prefer the cedar and bamboo scents over the sandlewood, with the essentially unscented classic as last. The balm is a nice mix of oils and wax with a just-right amount of "stiffness". I am glad to have tried the 4-pack. The little screw-top tins are perfect for travel. I will likely order a large cedarwood in the future and refill the little tins.Scents are complex, with sweetness like vanilla, cut wood, and fresh grass under the named scent. Scents last for several hours but are very subtle and not overpowering at all. Classic has no scent I can find, so perfect if scents are bothersome.My favorite beard balm to date.

Going to start off by saying the original smells like saddle cleaner, so if you love that smell you'll love the scent. The other three smell decent I just didn't love any of them. The original also makes my face itch.This balm won't have any hold on a dry beard, it will make it shine and appear clean, but no hold. On a wet beard, it will hold most of the day which I liked not having to re-apply. With the original, my beard stays oiled all day which is an inconvenience because I have to wipe my hands off after touching my beard but once again this is only with the original. I'm not sure if I got a bad batch or what. I'm not upset with the product, just let down for it was on the list for "best beard balms"

Makes hair silky and pleasant. Good smell.

I purchased the sample for the cedar scent which is awesome by the way,but the sandalwood is frickin amazing! I watched literally melt a lovely young lady with its aroma :]... and dont kid yourself the bamboo is very very favorable. I work outside and its physical work, yet the scented balm stayed with me until the end of the day. Awesome. The product has all the ingredients for softness so I maintain daily use. My first beard, my first balm, excellent product. You will be in business for a long time.Doug

These are nice. I have used a few different waxes over the years, and I may stick with this one. Not a super stiff hold. Having an uncented is nice when I don't want to smell overwhelming. The bamboo has a sweeter smell and is my wife's favorite. I love the woodsy scent of the sandalwood the most. My wife made me get rid of the cedar. It is now in the garage sitting next to the cedar oil.
