Actually Durable for aggressive chewers
Finally writing a review as I search my Amazon order list to recommend this toy to another friend!I have 2 very aggressive chewers. A boxer pup and a high anxiety hound mix. This toy lasted nearly 2 years. I'm trying to find it for a current Pic, it's starting to come apart now, but it was Christmas 2023 they got their little gator, and Fall 2025 it's still around. They will both be getting new ones finally for Christmas 2025! Seriously! Highly recommend!!!

Great toy for heavy chewers
The media could not be loaded. My pup (2y American bully/ pit mix) is an absolute beast at destroying toys and this one has withstood his greatest efforts to make this one of his many victims and so far it’s been withstanding all his attempts. He’s on the bigger size and the toy is large enough where I’m not worried he will choke on it but small enough where he’s not hitting or knocking things down while he walks with it in his mouthIt’s hard plastic but still has give to it so he can chew on it comfortably without hurting his teeth. It has a slight squeak to it but my pup has to work hard to make a sound so it’s not overly distracting.Definitely good value for the price and it’s a super cute toy. Definitely recommend as a dog toy for heavy chewers

Sturdy construction, Great Value - AND CUTE.
When I first picked this toy up, I thought it felt really hard and even a little heavy for plastic. Honestly, I couldn’t imagine how it would be appealing to a puppy who loves noisy toys and ripping apart seams. At first, she ignored it, which seemed to confirm my doubts. But over time, it became clear she was secretly working on it. Every week when I visit, there are a few more chew marks on the alligator’s mouth. She’s clearly been testing it, but even with her determination, it’s barely making a dent. For context, this 10-month-old pup destroys almost everything—stuffed toys don’t stand a chance, and only solid hard balls usually survive. This alligator is the first “fun” toy that has held up against her chewing. It may not be the toy she grabs every single day, but it’s definitely in her rotation, and the fact that it’s still intact makes it worth every penny. If you’ve got a power chewer, this is one toy that’s built to last.

Definitely not indestructible!
Definitely not indestructible! By day 2 the legs were chewed off and by day 3 other little bits were found all over the house. My dog is a German Wirehair Pointer and just about the most destructive dog I have ever encountered! I really thought this toy would last longer! I will say she really likes it and even takes it in her crate with her which she hasn’t done with other toys. So I’m still in search of a toy she can’t destroy but I fear it does not exist!

Durable for my very aggressive chewer.
Why did you pick this product vs others?:Thought it was a little bigger, my fur baby hasn’t put it down though. He loves it, although he hasn’t torn it up, he was able to chew the nose up easier than I thought. He is an Aussie 9 months old. Needless to say, I would buy another because of all the toys we bought, including KONG brand, this one seems more durable. He chewed through Kong in one day, he was only able to mess up the nose on this one.

Solid chew toy
Love this for my Pit bull, he loves hard to chew toys and I always keep a back up for this for when it becomes to beat up and that usually takes a month or so. Highly recommend it for a strong chewer for the price of the toy.

Durable
I have a very active 1 1/2 yr old female rottie. She is an extreme chewer. She tears everything I buy her up but this toy seems to hold up to her need for chewing. We have had it almost a month and she has only damaged the tail. Because of the extremely hard material it is made from I monitor her and make sure if any pieces break off I throw them away. But no issues so far and it keeps her entertained and helps her need to chew.

NOT Indestructible and a Nylon Product (NOT A CHEW TOY)
I gave this dog toy 2-stars based on my dog toy rating system (DTRS) for “Bruce” the Green Alligator!Unfortunately, I didn’t notice in the fine print of the product description on the website that this toy consisted of Nylon. If I noticed that description, I would’ve never purchased this product. Please do your own research on Nylon wrt teeth. I wasn’t impressed with the toy construction out of the box. The nylon head and tail sandwich the rubber body with soft rubber spines on Bruce’s back for easy gripping. This is not an “Indestructible” dog toy.Safety (1-rating):1. I was always concerned about my dog’s teeth possibly cracking while he was chewing on Bruce’s Nylon ends. Thankfully, his teeth were fine throughout the use of this toy.2. The Nylon came off in small pieces after a few hours and continued for the life of the toy; see picture. I never intended for my dog to swallow pieces of Nylon.3. Bruce’s rubber rear end is where most of the damage occurred, as my dog was tearing off pieces of rubber and spines, which he thankfully passed through his system over a period of 2-3 days after I threw Bruce away; see picture.4. The chewed-up Nylon ends were very hard, rough, sharp and pointy. There were occasions where I noticed my dog’s gums were bleeding as a result of chewing this toy.5. Bruce is big enough not to swallow in its entirety, which is why I’m giving this a 1-rating for safety.6. This is a molded product and not a plush product.Durability (2-rating):1. It took my dog 1 to 2-weeks to get the toy in the shape that is shown on the posted photos.2. The Nylon was immediately being scratched and scraped apart on day-1. Then I noticed pieces of Nylon coming off of Bruce after 3-4 days.3. The rubber was immediately being punctured with small divots around the body on day-1. I noticed over the next couple of days that my dog was focusing on the rear end and trying to pull the rubber off the Nylon tail.4. The rubber started coming off more quickly after 1-week, until I removed it all together.Squeaker (N/A):1. Bruce has no squeaker.Fatality (2-rating):1. Bruce had a longer life than most of my dog’s toys, but then again, I expected this to last much longer as the seller claims it is “Indestructible”, which it is not.2. I tried filing off some of Bruce’s chewed up Nylon ends to smooth them out for more chew time, but came to my senses and just threw him away for safety concerns only.In conclusion, “Bruce” the Green Alligator should not be given as a chew toy, but more as a fetch toy, unless you want your dog to digest the Nylon and rubber materials.Days of EnjoymentGiven to Dog: 12/16/2024Dog Toy Death: 01/08/2025Total Days Used: 13 days (11 days spent away from home during the holidays)About my dog “Cannoli” for comparisonBreed: Blue Healer / Lab mixSex: MaleAge: 8-monthsWeight: 45-lbsSize: MediumEnergy Level: HighChew Rating: Aggressive
