I wanted a small, battery operated clock for several reasons. I like to charge my phone when getting ready for class, and I wanted something to be able to keep track of time since lateness is constantly an issue for this grad student! I like to charge my phone in a central location (ie., the kitchen) and didn't want to keep moving the charging cord or charge it at night (with updated technology it charges fully in about an hour).This little clock is SO cute with its vintage design, true baby blue color, and flowery face. It met my expectations in terms of functionality and exceeded them in design.Other reasons why I love this clock:-it's small and takes up very little real estate-silent, no ticking sound (this would really irritate me)-super loud alarm!-light button located in the back to see time in the dark-takes 1 AA battery-reasonably priced-not easily tipped over-glass face (gives an expensive feel)I actually did not buy this for its alarm since I usually use my phone, BUT lately I have been sleeping through several phone alarms (grad school fatigue? lol). I have started setting this alarm as a just-in-case-I-don't-hear-my-phone alarm because it is impossible to sleep thru! I also had to google how to set it because it comes with no instructions and apparently one should know how to set a clock. However if you're a millenial like me, chances are the last time (if ever) you've set a manual alarm was in your childhood. So! If you want to wake up at 6:00 am, place the alarm hand directly on the 6 and flip the on switch right before going to bed or it will turn on at 6 pm, too. For 6:30, place the alarm hand right in BETWEEN 6 and 7. For 6:15, 1/4 of the way past 6, etc. This clock also has little dots in between each of the numbers so the hand placement can be a little more precise, but the alarm will not be accurate. I recommend setting it earlier than later. Overall I'm so pleased with this purchase!

Adorable and quiet! No ticking. Alarm bell is very loud. Color is true soft baby blue. Fits perfectly on my desk. I gave only 4 stars because: Hour, minute, second and alarm hands are all about the same thickness and are all black. This makes seeing the time at a glance a little tricky. Also, the clock face could be slanted upward a little more for easy reading. Because the face is set deeply back from the glass face plate, it is in shadow and, again, makes seeing the time at a glance a bit difficult. Otherwise, love it! Easy battery access in the back and keeps good time. Also, back is completely closed so no dust gets inside.

This is a cute little clock. It's about 5" tall, 3 1/2" wide and 1 3/4" deep. I've used the alarm feature a few times. Since it's not a digital clock, the alarm isn't precise, but it goes off within about 5 minutes of where you want it to be. My only complaint about the clock is sometimes it is very loud. To the point of annoying loud. It sounds almost like gears winding. It will do that for an hour and then stop. It happens at least once a day. For that reason, it's in my office instead of my bedroom.

this has to be the loudest alarm clock that I've ever owned - it about makes your heart stop when it goes off - scared my pets half to death - It really is cute so now just use it for ornamental look and got another alarm clock to wake me

I was afraid that the alarm clock would be too small, but it's perfect! It's unobtrusive, aside from the sound it makes. It's incredibly loud, and as someone who's a really heavy sleeper, it manages to get me up. It functions like any old-fashioned alarm clock, and I like that it doesn't make ticking noises. I've had no trouble with it for the last 2 months.

Arrived today, month before expected! It's really cute and matches my room perfect. The alarm is exactly what I was looking for- loud and obnoxious, but I like that you can have the option to not have the alarm on. It was really easy to set and only requires one battery. I would reccomend this to anyone!

Very cute clock. Just as pictured. Small, so check dimensions before ordering. Was hoping to be able to see this night without extra light, but could not.
