AudioControl DM-608 6 by 8 Channel Matrix Digital Signal Processor

I've been dabbling in car audio since the mid 80's. Lots of big bass systems. Lots of SQ systems. And the cold hard facts are, if you crave quality sound and want reliable processing that takes your system to the next level, Audio Control is where you go.American made quality. Period.I bought the DM 608 to make some changes to the Alpine Premium system in my 2020 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon. If you own one then you know what happens to the sound when you take off the top and drive over 50.The DM 608 gave me everything I needed to add aftermarket amplifiers to drive the aftermarket speakers. And now I can drive 80 with the top off and the sound is loud and clear.It's when you slow down and listen to this system that you truly appreciate all of the configuration and equalization the DM 608 gives you. It's as close to perfection as you could possibly get in a Jeep with the speakers in their stock locations.And, Oh My God, Accubass! Wait till you start to adjust this little gem of a feature. Truly clean, undistorted, powerful and solid bass.If I had one tiny complaint, you can't tune bass under the set 25hz crossover point. But as a whole, this is worth every penny.If you want a true quality product that gives you multiple options for building out your sound quality system, and, it's American Made... you can't even think to look elsewhere. Audio Control is where you go. Period. End of story. Drop the mic.And read the manual. No seriously. Read the manual. I've always loved the extra stuff they add. Love a quality company with a great sense of humor.

Best dsp ever, easy to use

Item arrived promptly however upon opening the package I quickly discovered some suspect things. The 4 pin terminal block was missing; the remote connector housing was askew which could potentially be from someone attempting to solder something inside; as well as the USB cable that came with it looks like a gel cable from the 90s with glitter on it.. the unit is badly scuffed as if it’s been used for the past decade.Haven’t wired it up yet as I’m now waiting on a new terminal block to test the device but fingers crossed it works out!

This is a very nice piece for setting up your system . Installation is rather simple and the availability of jumpers beneficial when integrating into a more complex system . The software is very user-friendly if you understand the basics of tuning an audio system, however I did find it surprising that the 30 band equalizers or not independent for left and right but for front and rear. I personally have a preference for the original audio control eqt manual equalizers but this piece will provide sufficient capability . The time alignment functions more beneficial when integrating with my Acura audio system . When level matching the game I had a lot of issues with noise being introduced although this is probably attributed to the factory amplifier it was still a quite challenging issue to eliminate with this piece . Audio control staff we're very knowledgeable and remoted into my system to ensure settings were appropriate the noise issues . The only issue that I had with this piece the connection port for the PC would seem to work intermittently . Overall believe this is a good piece of equipment optimizing your system however I am anxiously awaiting Bluetooth option along with an Android application which eliminate the action pour issues and the need for a laptop.

What I like about this is that it gives you full control of your audio system. What are the dislike? None that I have found so far.

First unit failed within a few months of being installed. No communication via Bluetooth or USB port, no sound output to amplifiers. Lights turn on, unit turns amps on but that is all. Attempted to contact tech support and spent 4 hours on hold, sent email and never got response, called back got an answer and was hung up on during transfer to tech support so called back only to get the run around and was finally told since Amazon is not a distributor they couldn't do anything for me. Replaced with same unit to only have that one fail within 6 months. Replaced with a PRV Audio EX4.6 Pro and 2 - PRV Audio DSP 2.8X, spent half the cost of this DM-608 unit with more adjust ability and sound is as clear if not better than with the Audio Control unit. Would like to have stayed with AC if they would stand behind the equipment and have better support for customers.Bonus, PRV is still working strong after multiple competitions.

Really upset with how confusing the software is and its pretty buggy. It works but not as well as i thought it was going to. Tuning takes forever with this thing, play with it long enough and it will sound good but definitely a nightmare learning the software
