Used today for the first time. Awesome price, awesome tool. Saved me on two different nail on electrical boxes. When the studs are too close together to get a hammer in between and you don’t feel like beating the nail head over and over with the side of the hammer. This is the tool for you. Also great for putting nails into the hard to reach Simpson ties and hangers. Yes I had my doubts with the brand and price but the hitachi palm nailer performed just as well as the rigid and dewalt I’d used in the past.

I haven't used it much yet, but on the practice tests that I have done, this thing is genius! I drove a large nail through a 2x4 quickly and easily. The one thing I learned with practicing with this is to not push too hard! Let the nailer do the work. I had trouble with it until I realized I was pushing down too hard, it actually works best when you push just hard enough to activate the unit. Then the nail just goes right in! Hearing protection is recommended as it's quite loud (as are most air driven tools). The included eye protection glasses was a nice touch. Very pleased.

Good quality tool. After going through several of these and having them fail, I purchased this Hitachi (Metabo) tool and it is still going strong. Superior quality, does the job very well. I have other Hitachi air tools that I purchased years ago that are still going strong. Should've bought this in the beginning. Oh well...........lesson learned. Best palm nailer available.

Works ok for 10d nails and smaller. It struggles with bigger nails. Just not heavy enough striker for 12d and 16d nails. 20d nail head too big.

Another great product from Hitachi. Size and power is perfect for 90 percent of jobs. Fits in tight, tight spots, included swivel is a must, most other brands charge extra for that. Listen, Hitachi is a great brand, if you have an issue they will make it right or maybe you received a fake knock-off product. Chances are you will be very happy with this item. Not sure about the negative reviews, I have been using Hitachi products for 30+ years and they have always proven to be a good brand. If you are installing Simpson straps and connectors make your life easy and get this item! Great for wood blocking also in tight spots. Once you own it you will kick yourself for not having it. For the price its worth the purchase for any size project!

If you've needed to use a hammer to drive a nail in tight places, like under a deck, or in a closet, you will love this hammer. As long as you can get the device into a spot, you can drive a nail there. Put the nail in the device, set it where it needs to go, and squeeze the trigger. The palm nailer quickly drives the nail down. Yes, you'll need an air compressor, but what a joy to use in those tight places. Wish I'd bought one years ago.

I am a contractor bought this nailer and didn't have the opportunity to use it for several months. I plugged it into my compressor and it didn't work brand new just made a hissing sound probably a bad O ring. I know my air compressor and hoses are compliant as my other tools that use the same psi worked no problem. Well I cant return it now due to time restrictions. Hitachi obviously dose not test their tools before selling, terrible quality control. My advise stay away from this one.

This nailer works awesome. I ordered it for my roofing business. It fits half the shingle nails since some have heads that are a bit bigger. I didn't thing it would work as awesome as it does. It beats the prime palm nailer I have out of the water.

This nailer performed superbly in tight spaces. It's loud so beware of that aspect, but as far as performance a real gem.

After 15 years of renovating and hammering the old way, we had joist to sister joist and bridge, needed a tight-fitting way to hammer in nails, found this, and it works like a charm. No pressure needed physically, just hold the nailer in your palm apply a push and off it goes in a few seconds the nails are in tight. No physical energy required. Just have to buy the adapter at the hardware store for the connection to the air pressure machine. Excellent find and works wonderful.

The item was delivered promptly. The unit is small and built well. The price is comparable to competing stores for the same unit.
