Fantastic Car Seat
My 2 year old loves this seat. He snuggles right in, and it's still a little spacious for him. He seems very comfy when sleeping in this too. It feels very safe to us.

Cover does not last!
Normally, I LOVE Britax car seats. I have now purchased 6 Britax car seats over the years. I love the safety, ease of installation, harness, etc.Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this one due to the cover. I bought 2 for my twins. After 1 month if use there was piling and pieces pulling out of both. They were only 9 months and were not picking it or pulling at it. This was just from normal use. Also, the velcro on one of the harnesses to hold it out if the way doesn't quite match up which causes even more damage to the cover.Now after 5 months of use the piling is much worse and one twin is starting to pull at it and eat/chew on the string pieces.We had them for 3 months before we first used them or I would have returned them. I should have returned them. For the cost, I would have expected the seat covers to last more than a couple months. I've never had a Britax seat have problems like this one and we've used Britax for 7 years. I'd planned on using these until they expire.Update: I contacted Britax shortly after my review and they replaced my seat covers as a customer service. Normally, they wouldn't because "wear and tear" isn't covered. It is NOT weat and tear in my opinion. We've had the new onyx cover (these are discontinued...hmm...wonder why) for a couple months and no problems at all. Back to the Britax quality we love. Moved from 2 to 4 stars (really would give 5 if the original cover lasted)Update again: It is now 2019 and the replacement covers are falling apart. I don't know what changed but the covers really don't last as long as the seat like they used to. Back down to 2. :(

Broken styrofoam
We have had 2 britax car seats, and while I love the quality, on both car seats the side "wings" where the child's head rests are made of styrofoam and have broken off from taking the child in and out. Super disappointing to see that kind of flaw in materials.

Good seat so far for rear facing.
I have been happy with this car seat for my 9 month old, 20lb son. It is currently rear facing so it is tricky getting him out of the car without hitting his head but I remember that always being the case with my older child in a Recaro seat as well so I think it's just a rear facing issue. When installed it feels tight and secure. When my son is in it he seems comfortable and the harness is simple to tighten. It's a littler harder to loosen but again that is a rear facing issue. I am concerned I'll regret not getting the new Click Tight version when he is forward facing just for ease of installation. I prefer using the seat belt to install rather than LATCH. I feel the seat belt gets a more secure fit. I purchased this as an open box item. It came with the tags still attached and the seat still in the plastic.

Beware of products that are “new”
This was advertised as ‘new’ in a slightly damaged box. Box was all right but seat was NOT new. It had crumbs in the seat and animal hairs had to be taken off. Slight scrape on the side. NO instructions so we had no installation details and no warranty information. AND seat was dated 2017. We had expected 2018 as we got it recently.We were very disappointed in the quality of this purchase’s condition but kids needed it two days later so we did not have time to return it.We had researched the product and know it is very highly rated for safety...so we are happy with the seat...just not how it arrived.

All of the reviews of this seat are accurate.
This is "a lot" of car seat. The steel frame, and side impact cushioning really do make this a substantial car seat. Personally, I find it a heavy seat, which is fine because I'm not switching cars. I would never buy this seat for switching cars often, this seat fits fine in my 2012 Lexus RX. The blue material is really soft, and cozy, but probably won't wear well with time. Other reviewers have stated that the other colors are more durable.The Velcro on the straps don't line up propoperly on the seat, but I could care less. It IS tight on my baby's thighs, and he's only in the 25th percentile for weight. I was able to help this by removing the Velcro strap covers, and adding a little slack to the belt (not a ton obviously) but I think it's okay now. Once my 15 month old gets bigger I'll probably add the seat belt covers again. Without a doubt this could be an issue for big thighs. I think for us it's okay. I bought an evenflow for my husbands car, and it's really flimsy compared to this seat, so much so that I'm sending it back to Amazon. I bought a second Britax seat in an "warehouse deal" for a ton less than retail.Another thing to keep in mind, this is made in the USA, my humble opinion is that we need to pony up a few dollars more to support products manufactured here. If you don't think that matters, do a quick search on how much more toxic dyes and chemicals are in baby products that come from china, it's astounding.

Great quality, easy to use, adjust, and install
I have been using this car seat 2+ years now, and I still love it. I fell it’s easy to install, use and adjust. It has great safety ratings and it feels heavy duty compared to other car seats. It has a metal frame. I wholeheartedly recommend this car seat to the world! My only complaint is that I wish it were easier to clean

Sturdy safe and comfortable!
After owning other big brand car seats I wasn't expecting to love this one but I do! In fact it is the best one so yet! Easy to install, comfortable for my two kids and very easy to wipe clean. This car seat is HEAVY! There are two steel bars on either side to protect your little one. I feel very safe with my two kiddos riding in these seats. I do wish it had a cup holder, but that is a very minor issue. Very happy with my purchase and would recommend this car seat to anyone!
