Perfect for your carbine length Mosin
Bought this for a Type 53 that was in very good shape but missing the cleaning rod. Fully seated in it sits just under the bayonet mount.Keep in mind if you have the longer 91/30 this will not work for you. You will need to shop for the longer rod in that case. However, this should fit any carbine mentioned in the description (be careful with the number designation).

Too long for the M44/wrong color.
Product description describes being compatible with the m44, but it's too long. Partially my fault for not measuring prior to purchase. Also, it has more of a bronze color, does not match the gun.

Good cleaning rod though
Fit my M44 well. Mind you this is a cleaning rod for the carbine Mosin rifles. Don't get this if you got a 91/30, seen the negative reviews on this and most of it is just due to lack of knowledge about the rifle they have. Good cleaning rod though, M44 looks whole now.

This fits the shorter carbines, not the long rifles. I know this is partially buyer error, but it should be stated that it does not fit the longer Mosin rifles.
