Perfect for MTHFR & TTC
WHY I CHOSE THIS PRODUCT:I have recurring miscarriages and was diagnosed with two blood clotting disorders, MTHFR (Heterozygous A1298C) and PAI1. After doing much research and with approval from my doctor, I have began taking this prenatal powder daily, L-methyl folate & B-12, probiotic, DHA, CoQ10 (Ubiquinol), and a baby aspirin. My diagnosis means supplementing with the highest quality of biologically available folate- this powder contains methylfolate as well as folinic acid. I truly believe this is the best brand. I urge you to research for yourself and look into Dr. Ben Lynch. He spent four years developing this blend.I choose the protein powder over the pills because I am very forgetful when it comes to taking 8 pills a day if they aren’t all in the morning! I also needed to consume more protein. I also very much enjoy smoothies/blended protein drinks.THE SMELL & TASTEThe smell is bad. Okay. Don’t smell it! If you can just blend it and not smell it you will be fine. It does NOT taste like fish. It tastes like minerals with protein powder. Ask yourself, can you drink one 12oz chocolate or vanilla vitamin beverage a day for the sake of your health? For me, the answer was a no brainer. After having two back to back miscarriages- I will drink these for the rest of my days...pregnant or not...to make sure my body has the proper nutrition. I have also completely eliminated toxic man-made folic acid from my diet and have made a complete lifestyle change.{ MTHFR means your body can’t process and break down folic acid (essential for conception and sustaining a pregnancy), detox, or process heavy metals... among other things. }HOW TO MAKE:I started by blending with unsweetened vanilla almond milk, oats, almond butter, vanilla, flaxseed, and some honey. Honestly, I didn’t need to mask the taste of the powder. If you do need to mask the taste, try the above and add a banana. Now I drink it blended with 12 oz of cold filtered water. I actually crave the taste of this drink constantly and look forward to drinking it while I get ready in the morning!WHAT I WOULD CHANGE:I wish it came in a bigger tub for the price.OVERALL:Amazing product.I will continue to purchase and recommend to everyone I know!I have tried both the vanilla and chocolate and they both are delicious. I prefer the chocolate and I think if you are hesitant about flavor I would choose chocolate.

Not tasty
Overall, this protein powder is acceptable; however, the taste leaves something to be desired.

Easy to digest and tastes really good!
Even though I am not pregnant, I have found this to be a very good source of multiple vitamins for me and a good protein source as well. I do not tolerate most multivitamins, but one scoop of this protein powder has all the vitamins I need. I was pleasantly surprised that it tastes so good too. Thank you for a product that I am very happy to use. Also seems easy for me to digest and that is a big plus!

I love that this pre-natal is so complete and has 15 grams of protein boosted into it. However, it takes a while to acclimate to the taste and find a good food to pair them with. I tried putting it in a smoothie, but the vanilla flavor did not pair well with the berries. I found that blending the powder with chocolate milk and ice made more of a milkshake that was much more palatable. Once you get used to the powder, it's great, but you have to give it like 2 weeks to get used to the smell and flavor.

liver powder or whatever superfood or vitamin was the new and best. I longed to experience the vibrancy and energy ...
I was recently diagnosed MTHFR compound heterozygous. This diagnosis came after many many years of chasing the dream of being healthy. I have tried so many products/foods/vitamins in my life to improve my energy, my immune system and my mood. Hoping that each product would be the answer. I envied all those who gave accolades in their reviews to wheat grass, green powders, kombucha, kimchi, liver powder or whatever superfood or vitamin was the new and best. I longed to experience the vibrancy and energy the different reviewers claimed to feel. But I never did. Not once.Nothing I did helped and confusion reigned while many thousands of my dollars were spent at medical and naturopathic doctors offices trying to find an answer. Finally one naturopath made all the difference by testing me and my husband for MTHFR mutation.Today I finally...finally get to say that this product has greatly increased my energy, it has improved my mood and it has lifted my sense of well being. What shocked me most is I feel so clear and focused.I am not a huge fan of the taste (vanilla) it's just too sweet for me, but I will continue to take this beyond prenatal prep and pregnancy for sure as I feel so great taking ( it should be noted that I am not yet pregnant so I don't take this everyday. I take it about 4-5 days a week as I don't want to over methylate. But I sure do miss it when I don't take it)I could not give this a higher recommendation.

No expiration day
I could not find an expiration day on the product after I read through the bottle three times. There is a manufacturing day but not expiration day. I am wondering how could a product ever be sold without an expiration.

It taste amazing and blends well with my almond milk
I was excited to see they had a powder form of the pills (8 pills was just to much for me to stomach). I purchased the Vanilla flavor. It taste amazing and blends well with my almond milk. I have even tried it in a couple of my smoothies. I actually wait to use it at the end of the day to settle my sweet tooth down and in my smoothie it adds an extra bit of fluff so it's like I'm eating ice cream. Something to chew on that's tasty while I watch my evening shows. My only complaint would be the cost for a whole months supply. I wish more people were aware of the harmful damage folic acid can due to us that have MTHFR. Finding a prenatal vitamin that gives us folate is a plus so I'm willing to pay the extra amount.

Good, but I'm sticking with the chocolate
I've used the chocolate powder for about 3 years now, but when it was out of stock, I chose to order the vanilla. I normally only use 1/2 a scoop and even then it's intensely sweet. I mix it with spinach and frozen fruit and it literally tastes like ice cream. That said, I personally don't want to wake up and eat/drink ice cream everyday, so it's a bit of a deterrent for me. Also, I can mix the chocolate version with water and drink it easy, but I can't do that with this one due to the flavor. On the flip side, my kids LOVE it and now that it's hot, I'll just start using it to make afternoon smoothies for us all.
