VooDoo Tactical 20-9324001000 Marksman Data Book Pouch, Black

A very compact convenient sniper book pouch. Inside there are elastic bands and a slot pouch to install your sniper book - without it falling loose. Once the book is installed, it is very much part of the case.There is a drop 'tongue' that holds pens, and has a zip pouch for other sundries, its a nice design, in that it will hang off the edge of the worksurface out-of-the-way but easy to access.The outside front has velco business size space for insigna\patch. It includes the mating velco strip.The back has a very large 4" x 5" velco area (no mating velco patch) and 2 molle snap straps for solid attachment to molle rifle bags or packs.With the book installed, there is enough room to store more paper items, It has a total thickness closed on just over 1". I store my ballistic info convienently as 8x11 sheets 1/2 fold.The workmanship is very good, consistent stitching, solid oversized zippers and no tantalizing loose threads to pull.

First let me say that I purchased this with my eyes open and blame no one except myself for any perceived problems that did not originate with the manufacturer. I know it was "designed" to be used with the expected data book (sold separately..) which I elected NOT to purchase because I simply did not really like the format of that book. I wanted to use the IMPACT data book with the custom insert pages because I could quite simply select the data pages I wanted and needed. The drawback with my thinking was with the cover size of the IMPACT book. So, I accept the responsibility for the fact that the IMPACT book was a very tight fit inside of this holder/cover. Sooo, if you want or expect this cover to fit your book exactly, then you might be best off by purchasing the data book for which it was designed..... For me, I just gently curved the corners of my IMPACT book with a scissors and very slightly trimmed the edges. It now fits with no real issues.... and I am happy.In general, I really like this data book holder/cover. I like the material, I like the construction, and I like the way it works. The Molle stuff is overkill. The Molle idea (as originally intended..) is actually quite useful with certain things. Data book covers are not really one of them. Just totally unnecessary. The rest of the cover is really quite nice. It's just about the perfect size and has ample room inside to hold your data book, a pencil and pen, maybe a small protractor for wind calcs and a small rule. If you want to also store a mildot master in this unit (it WILL fit..), you will need to take precautions with the size (thickness..) of your data book. No room here for extraneous stuff like wind meters, high-speed low-drag digital calculators, or most of that "other stuff" that we tend to drag along and never use. Understand, I use my wind meter and weather instruments, but I keep them in my jacket pocket..!!!So, four stars for a nice cover that does a good job. Could be a tiny bit bigger and I would be a tiny bit happier.... But it serves its purpose and it does it well. Recommended....

Heavy duty all the way around. I am hard on gear and this thing is built to take the punishment and last. Another well built solid VooDoo Tactical product.

Holds my storm tactical dope book and a couple other things just fine. Really impressed with external attachment capability of the cover. Managed a secure fit to my rifle case/ range bag.Happy about the purchase so far!

Functions well. Had to trim almost an inch of plastic off my Impact Data logbook cover to make it fit. (May fit well with others?) Had to cut the bungee straps at the hinge so it would stay open.

Well made. Nice features. They just need a few stray threads lighterd off. Definitely good enough for hobby marksmen and probably tough enough for pros. Definitely worth the little work it takes to clean up the rough edges.

Fits the range book I have and use from US Tactical. "Modular Sniper Data Book". Extra pockets for add'l materials and such. Would buy again.
