I purchased this shelving unit so I could store dry goods, cooking spices in a closet I’ve converted because our pantry is a paltry undersized closet in the kitchen with little storage space, and I’m a gourmet cook. I have a lot of dry goods in organization containers already so this was the perfect fit. I’m determined to organize this house and this is yet another step in that organization madness! This heavy-duty 4 shelf unit exceeded my expectations!ASSEMBLY 5/5Easy and straightforward directions. The clips I was worried about but this design makes putting the shelves together such an easy process. I’ve never put one together but I did it in 20 minutes. The hardest part is deciding the widths between shelfs. The wheels went on easily and work as expected. Shelves fit down onto a clip that you determine the height of. Counting the lines where you want the clips to all be at the same height was the hardest part of the assembly.STURDINESS 5/5I was so happy to see that this is a heavy-duty shelving unit. The materials are good and the construction shows that it will handle the 350 lb. per shelf! Materials seem long-lasting and durable.The first thing that stands out with this shelving unit is its robust build. The heavy-duty construction instills confidence in its ability to handle substantial weight. This shelving unit feels solid, doesn’t wobble. I do think I will get shelf liners so when my organization bins are fully in place, I can feel satisfied they won’t topple over. I plan on storing some kitchen appliances or heavier glass containers on this bottom shelf, it will hold the weight and still roll just fine. I loaded up my dry goods and then wheeled this through two rooms into the closet. I plan on being able to roll this into my kitchen for big cooking events like Thanksgiving or Christmas.ADJUSTABLE 5/5Shelves easily adjust to which height you want the shelf to sit. This allows you to customize the shelf, for example all heavier/taller items on bottom. Shelves can adjust easily, even if the shelves are loaded. Just empty that one shelf, reposition the clips that hold it in place and evenly and slowly lower the shelf down onto the newly positioned clips. If you let it down hard and fast onto the clips, they will pop off and you have to fix them and count the lines again. The shelves sit solid onto the clips.MULTI-PURPOSE 5/5I can imagine this shelf can be used at businesses to store items, in the garage to store items like glass jars or cleaning supplies. I would make sure to line the metal shelf grids before you put glass on it so it will sit stable. I bought gray liners that fit absolutely perfect. Everything looks so organized and I’ve utilized the vertical space in my closet, and with the wheels, can move the shelf to the left or right out of the way and still use the closet for other things. The look of the unit is really nice, I bought the black which is a shiny finish. This unit is attractive enough to be in an open room if needed.

So far, so good. Put it together with minimal swearing (the directions are TERRIBLE). Once I studied it and laid everything out, it went together quickly. It seems quite sturdy and stable. It’s in my garage and I don’t have kids, so I didn’t anchor it to the wall. I would strongly suggest anchoring it if you have kids. It holds alot and doesn’t take up a ton of space.

I bought this Amazon Basics 5-Shelf Storage Shelving Unit back in November 2020 when I decided to finally turn my old, raggedy coat closet into a functional pantry. Let me just say—this shelf was the perfect choice for the job.Assembly was a breeze. I was able to put it together by myself in under an hour, and the instructions were straightforward. The adjustable shelves made it easy to configure for different pantry items—from tall cereal boxes to shorter canned goods.What really impressed me, though, were the smooth-rolling 4'' caster wheels. They make it incredibly easy to roll the unit in and out of the closet when it's time to restock or reorganize. It’s stable, doesn't wobble, and locks in place when needed.Now, almost five years later, this rack remains as sturdy and solid as the day I set it up. No rust, no sagging shelves, and no complaints. It’s held up beautifully through weekly use and frequent reloading of groceries.If you're looking for a durable, versatile shelving unit—whether for a pantry, garage, or laundry room—this one is a total winner. This shelving unit arrived with a slightly bent shelf. It was factory packaged that way, because the box was undamaged. It was easy to put together with the use of a rubber mallet. The casters roll and turn smoothly. The unit is a breeze to move. The caster brakes are quite stiff to operate; which might become an issue if you need to take the brakes off, move the unit, and put the brakes back on frequently. For my purposes, this rack will be fine. I like it. But I would rate this as lightweight; not heavyweight. It’s NOT “flimsy”, but it’s not as solid as other brands I purchased that were rated for medium weight use. It would never withstand a kid stepping on to even the bottom shelf. I’m thinking my large cat might be able to topple this unless attached to the wall. So if you need something you can really pile weight onto, I would keep looking. If not, this unit is serviceable at a great price.

We moved into a house rental while our new home is being built. The laundry room didn't have much shelving but there was plenty of room for this. It was fairly easy to assemble once we got the "click-in-place" procedure down. It holds ALL of our extra cleaning supplies and more! If you have small items, I'd recommend getting some kind of plastic shelving or they will fall over. The best thing is, this shelving unit will come with us to our forever home. Will probably get more for my canning supplies when it's time.
