Outstanding repair kit
I repaired a metal tube and a tent pole. The metal tube got bent and when I straightened it back out, it was much weaker. It was just going to bend again and probably break. So, after getting it straight, I used this to strengthen the weak point where it bent. It's now the strongest point on the tube. Similar story with the tent pole. It was splitting so I used one of these strips and it's much stronger in that spot, now. However, I don't think the repair will last since it looks like the split is continuing to travel down the pole. That's not the fault of the FiberFix, though. It's holding strong at the point of the repair.

Buy the longer strips, way too short of anything larger than a pencil
Bought this to repair my back scrubber I use in the shower. Why you may ask, well because every other scrubber I found had two issues. Handle was too short, and the bristles were way too soft. It's a small handle, about 3/4" wide and 1/2" thick and made out of some type of plastic. Super glue would not melt into it and bond the two pieces together. Even gorilla tape left it flopping. This stuff actually works as advertised. Comes with a small piece of sandpaper to clean the area and gloves to protect your hands. Dunked in room temperature water for 5 seconds and began to wrap it up. I let it sit for 30mins and the tape turned solid. The brush handle had no wiggle. So far I've used it twice and it's holding. Why 3 and not 5 stars, because it says to wrap the handle at least 4 wraps over the break and to extend the wraps on either side of the break. Again, this is a small handle and at 1" wide I managed to wrap it 4 times around the break, but that was about it, I went to extend the wrapping up the handle and ran out of tape. There is no way with the short length in this box to wrap up even that brush handle they picture on the box that distance they show if you follow how many times to wrap it. Luckily it held even with the shorter wrappings, otherwise it would be a 0 star rating. Think about it, a 1" diameter object will use 3.14" of material, so you won't even get 4 wraps. I used 2.5" per wrap, which gave me 4.8 wraps or less as it build up. So after the 4 wraps, I was done. And that's on a small brush handle. The length in this box is only meant to fix objects the size of a pencil. The directions also mention to use the vinyl tape over the wrapping when done. That is not included in the box. Being the first time using it, I though maybe it was at the end of the wrap. Not there and I had no vinyl tape in the house, so I used a rubber band.My suggestion is to use the $6 towards buying the longer version.

Works well on broken areas you can wrap tape around
Didn't realize it needs to wrap around the object and stick to itself. It worked well on one application that I was able to wrap, but not the other which was a hole in a plastic surface. Ended up using gorilla glue to glue that strip. Gotta love the commercial though! Edit: I have to caution people not to buy more than they think they will need because these little individually packed rolls go bad eventually. Did not realize they only have a 3 year shelf life until I really needed the last one. They turn hard and unusable.

It needs to not be dry.
I had used the or product in the past when I had bought it from a big box store. At that time it worked perfectly easy instructions to follow However this time the product arrived dry and would not take the water grew frustrated and. Threw away found other methods to fix problem. If you get the product fresh it works. Like a champ. What I received seemed like it had already been wet. Called it a loss.

I've used the FiberFix that comes as a long strip, but there are a lot of repair jobs that need a much smaller strip. And I appreciate being able to do three small jobs at different times, instead of committing to using up all of the whole long strip at once. This stuff really works, and is super-easy to use.

Product worked as advertised. The reason for 3 stars is 1 of the 3 strips was hard as a rock and no amount of water made it usable. Second, the instructions say to wrap the Velcro strip around it until it cures, there was no Velcro strip included. If you think 2 out 3 usable is ok and you have duct tape to use in place of the Velcro strip......

Was able to fix the metal arm of an expensive lamp - hopefully adding years to it's life instead of replacing it.
