Primal Pit Paste, Deodorant Stick Lemongrass Natural, 2 Ounce

I can no longer use this deodorant for several reasons. First and foremost it gives me a red rash in my underarms. I'm not allergic to any of the ingredients listed on the label so this confused me at first and I chalked it up to the possibility that it may be too effective at keeping my underarms dry, so I started applying a little bit of coconut oil under my arms before application of the deodorant but the redness has persisted regardless. Secondly, unless I apply it heavily it doesn't work very well at stopping odor. It's unfortunate because I really wanted to like this stuff and I like to support small independent businesses. I also love the smell of lemongrass.My wife makes her own all natural deodorant with many of the same ingredients Primal Pit Paste uses, and It never leaves a red rash under my arms and works much better at stopping odor. The only reason I even buy deodorant is because I want the convenience of a stick, especially when I travel.

I absolutely love this product! It has worked for me for years and I am typically changing deodorants every few months since they stop working.Very happy to have found a brand that uses clean ingredients and super excited when this package came out (rather than using finger to spread). I am a huge fan of lemongrass scent all together and thought it was a great idea to try this one out for a change (I always go for the lavender one). Funny thing is... if I sweat, I smell like weed LOL. Boyfriend got home one day and wouldn't stop asking if I had smoked (I never do) because he could smell it. It took us a while to realize what it was. I find it hilarious and will finish the product, but had to purchase another one to use for business meetings haha.

If you skin is sensitive, this deo (or any where the baking soda is a main ingredient) will probably cause underarm irritation. I got this for myself and within 2 days I had an itchy, red, bumpy rash. I have extremely sensitive skin. My SO then decided to use it (as not to waste a full deo). He used it for about a month before he began having a itchy, red bumpy rash. His skin is slightly sensitive. I have since switched to a natural deo with arrowroot instead of baking soda. I've been using it for over a month with no irritation. I really wish Primal Pit Paste would come in a "No Baking Soda" version, as it seems to be a very good product otherwise.

...unless you want to smell like marijuana at work all day.Because just like that's what the lemongrass flavor smells like.I have also tried the jasmine and the rogue whatever whatever one (the "masculine" flavor)I love them both but am so over jasmine smells (overplayed everywhere lately) so I could only try that one once.The blue labeled Rogue flavor is my favorite so far. I wish there was other smell options.... sweet orange? lemon? sandalwood? ivory? something!!

I've tried lots of natural deodorants without aluminum and they were terrible (Toms of Maine, Jason, etc.); I had to apply them multiple times per day and kept extra containers in my bag so I could use it at work or on the go. Primal is awesome! Not only does it minimize sweating, but I only need to apply it once per day. No more carrying around extra containers. I still sweat but not as much and I don't worry about being stinky. I read how some people experience rashes so I wait about 30 minutes after shaving to apply to give the pores a chance to close and I have not experienced any problems. I like the lemongrass and lavendar versions.

In sheets. It might be that I have sensitive skin. But I’ve tried a number of natural deodorants now and not ever had that issue before. And oh god did I smell. It was as if the paste was clogging the pores and trapping the smell in. I switch the Scully’s Spray which kills the bacteria and it felt like it took nearly a week for it to cut through the residue left behind by the paste. The releasing I gave it two stars is that it probably works fine for a lot of people. But it really really really did not for me. I told my mom that I was starting to smell like my grandpa and she responded that he wasn’t exactly known for showering regularly. I shower daily.

I absolutely love this deodorant. I have been through many different "natural" deodorant solutions and this one is by far my favorite. I much prefer the stick version of this vs. the tub fyi. This is my 3rd Primal Pit Paste scent that I have tried, and all have kept me smelling fresh for hours- rather than losing their scent quickly. Typically, one application will last me a full 24 hours. My picky husband loves this brand as well. I am a happy supporter of Primal Pit Paste!

But it didn't work for me at all. Lemongrass smelled nice in the tube. Application was ok after it warmed up a bit. The problem came once I started to sweat. The mix of B.O. and this Lemongrass deodorant was the most disgusting smell ever. I don't even know how to describe it. If you want to try it, I would still recommend (it may work for you) but just steer clear of Lemongrass.
