Bright light with nowhere near the heat produced when compared to Halogen bulbs
We have an open joist design in our condo. I bought several of these track lights and love them. In the kitchen we placed them between the joists and in the living room we have one track on the bottom of the joist in front of the fireplace. The LED lights are bright and produce nearly no heat, unlike our previous Halogen light track light we had previously. This is such an improvement. I am particularly pleased with the small size of the heads on this. We have them on Lutron Dimmers and they work great. Highly recommend.

The wife likes the goose egg heads!
There is not a lot of variety in small affordable LED track lights for the home. My wife likes the style of these "goose eggs" and so far I have installed six of these kits (standalone, connected at angles with adapters found at a big orange store, and using a wall plug/switch adapter). They are fairly easy to install if they are going over a standard depth ceiling box. Make certain you tuck the wiring into the ceiling box: the cover for the track/fixture is not deep enough to accommodate the connectors and any excess wiring. If you need to contend with minimal depth pancake style boxes the wires may need to be trimmed back. Additionally the screws for the fixture cover plate may need to be cut short depending on what kind of clearance you have around the box (I used a Dremel with a cut off wheel). Screws to attach the mounting fixture to the ceiling box are not provided, but screws to mount the tracks to the ceiling come in the package (both toggle bolts and dry wall "screw anchors").I've purchased several additional sets of these lights since it is less expensive to purchase the entire kit than it is to purchase individual lamp heads.I have not tried to use these with a dimmer yet but eventually will get around to modding the kitchen set up and will update this review once I do that.

and I like the small profile because it is inobtrusive
I have now installed seven of these in a restored farmhouse over the period of a year. The bronze finish is attractive, and I like the small profile because it is inobtrusive. For a large room (13x20), I used four heads on two tracks; for task lighting over a stove, I removed one head and went with two. All the fixtures (more than 20 in all) have worked perfectly, including when on dimmers. Obviously, I would buy this again ... because I keep doing so. I did have them all wired in by an electrician so cannot speak to DIY. No qualms about recommending.

LED Track Lights
Installed these in a smaller room as "Stage lights" to be wired on a dimmable switch. This was the best alternative to buying a full LED lighting package with a lighting board that many do not know how to operate. For those who have a small "stage", maybe a church room, a youth room, or even a small meeting room, or a room where there's a small speaking area that needs to light a space, or even in a coffee shop that need something to be lit, these are perfect. Easy to install, please use care and read the instructions. Hire a pro if you don't know what you're doing

Replaced old track so instillation was a breeze.
We have an old house that came with track lighting in many areas. During our current reno (that is taking for fricking ever) we decided to replace two of the tracks in my home office. We had the contractor put this set up - 2 pieces (we got a connector) in one space and 1 in another. The light provided is nice and not "spot like". Installation seemed easy - but we were doing a replace rather than a totally new install.

Good overall, but could be better.
This would be a four- or five-star product if the manufacturer made a few, cheap improvements.First the good:- Attractive warm, bright light.- Easy installation, if you already have experience installing flush-mount lighting.- Attractive modern design- Affordable price point (I paid $62.27), and a good valueNow, the not-so-good (and it's not that bad)- The instructions were HORRIBLE—riddled with typos and so poorly written, they were hard to follow. There were too many problems to describe in detail. This would NOT be a problem for anyone with some experience installing overhead lighting. Installation is actually as easy as it looks. It's the instructions that are difficult to use.- The package contains a set of two toggle bolts and a set of two self-drilling plastic drywall anchor (similar to EZ Ancor) to mount the track on the ceiling. I chose to use the drywall anchors. After drilling the anchors into the ceiling, I drove the screws into the anchors to mount the track. But the plastic anchor wouldn't break as the screw went in. This caused the anchor to turn further in the drywall which stripped the thread it had cut into the drywall. I ended up with two useless half-inch holes in my ceiling. I had to move all my marks over about two inches so I could use REAL EZ Ancors to mount the track. The drywall anchors are junk and should be treated as such. Those two problems added A LOT OF TIME to what should be a quick little home improvement project. All that said, I'd buy another. It's and attractive product and a good value.
