Actually, it can't turn to steer like a car or bicycle, but you can actually lean or tilt the handle to the side to steer. Took my 6 years old daughter about 30 seconds to master. It's a very well built scooter and she's about glued to it.

In fact, it needn't install. You just need to pull the handlebar up to use it. By the way, my daughter loves it! It's a nice gift. Not expensive, fun, and can exercise the balance.

Wear and tear happens easily

Firm build, easy assembly, pink vivid color, but chips easily, safe with older kids IMO, but younger kids should wear a helmet and elbow/knee pads.

Would not buy again my son was hurt

My son was riding down a hill and the wheel popped off and he hurt his arm now he don’t wanna ride anymore this scooter has completely traumatized. My kid the wheel has came off multiple times and the button to adjust. It broke the first week. We had it now the pink one is in good shape. There’s nothing wrong with it. My kid doesn’t use it would I recommend it no.

Sturdy and safe scooter!

This is my second purchase of this scooter. Our granddaughter refuses to use any other one. She has one at her house and one at ours. The wide base allows better maneuvering. The foot brake is nice and allows stopping on a dime without flipping or falls.

Wheel alignment

I don't know quite how the pictures but.. the front wheels left wheel kept locking up on my grandson as he was riding... Which caused him to fall off and for pool hard left and stop so I returned the items for full refund
