Are these "active" or "passive" noise canceling? I have heard ANC headphones actually cause hearing loss!

There’s really no wire technology added to these headphones, so I would assume passive. The padding on the ear pieces are sufficient for my entire family and none of us have hearing loss. They do have a maximum decibel limit so pay attention to your surroundings and remember: EVERYTHING (including sound) in MODERATION :)

Will these comfortably fit teenagers or are they only for younger kids?

I like the way they fit on my toddlers ears. They worked good on the plane. My baby girl was able to sleep on the plane till it landed. I would order them again.

Can these headphones get wet?

This kids earmuffs have water-resistant outer case.There is no problem if you come into contact with liquid during daily use.But we don't recommend that you soak your headphones in water for a long time.
