Old mower, new battery.
When I first got the mower, the battery with it was fine enough. Took several charges to even finish the yard the first time but it got better over a few weeks to where one charge could do the whole yard. Then the first winter came, followed the instructions to charge it once a month, but it still died when Summer came. So bought this here new battery, plugged it after the first charge, and it worked perfect. He also seemed to have a little more, oomph?, when it came to mowing. I think the battery that came with the mower in the first place was just a dud or something like that. Got a good feeling this new battery from here will go the distance since other folk around my town with it say these things are suppose to last years. But hey, even if it doesn't, 100-ish once a year to not deal with buying gas, oil, the smells, the noise, or weight of a different mower is worth it to me. I use to spend around 80-ish in the first two, and the last three are worth the extra 20-ish to not deal with and have and easier time with the electric mower.

Good Battery
I've found that the Earthwise battery has enough power to mow my entire lawn (.35 acres) if my grass is under 3 1/2" long. I travel a lot though, and if I skip a weekend of mowing and it goes to 2 weeks I can finish my lawn in 2-3 chargings. I still think the mower and battery does a good job on my lawn, and in fact I think it looks better than my neighbors' lawns who all use gasoline mowers.I also have to say that Amazon customer service is awesome. The first battery I received from them had a crack on the top of the battery. I tried to return it, but because of the chemicals involved it is illegal for Amazon to take back a defective battery. Instead....they just shipped me a new battery and I was able to recycle the damaged one myself. Amazon is the easiest company to deal with when it comes to returns.

doesnt' last
This is the 3rd battery I've had to buy for my mower. They have made them much easier to change out, but the problem is they just stop holding any charge after about a year. Yes, I brought it in for the winter.

earthwise lawnmower battery
Learned from the first battery: DO NOT leave battery on the charger more than necessary. DO NOT leave in a freezing garage all winter plugged into the charger. DO NOT deeply discharge your battery. I got 2 years of use out of the first battery. Maybe now that I know more about the care and feeding of deep cycle batteries I'll get 4 years out of this one. Wish they made a Lithium Ion version.

Item precisely as described
We bought this battery about five months ago. It arrived promptly, slid right into the mower with no issue, took a charge, and has held it well in the time since. I would definitely recommend this seller...a quality product at a competitive price.

Battery for Powered Mower Review
The battery has packed adequate power for the job. The battery is fairly heavy; definately not something to be used by many seniors. The battery has a useful handle to insert and remove the battery from the mower, but the cable hookup requires a bit of finesse while holding a fairly heavy battery. The release button can become clogged with dust/debris which can cause some work in getting the battery out. By the instructions sent with the battery it is a higher maintenance battery, requiring monthly charges all winter long; this battery can't be left on the charger all winter, unless you buy a fairly high end battery tender. Overall the battery and the mower were mostly a dissapointment. I'll continue to use them through the normal life of the items, but intend to change to something different as sooner than later.

Almost replacement for Homelite 24 volt
I have a 24V Homelite lawnmower which is the same mower as one of the Earthwise mowers just a different color. The only place I could find the battery was Home Depot's web page, but it was out of stock, so I ordered this one hoping it would fit. Well, it didn't fit my as the connectors were different, but I found loophole. I opened up the Homelite battery case and found 2 12 volt batteries, then opened up the Earthwise and found 2 identical batteries inside, so I just took them out of the Earthwise battery case and installed them into the Homelite, charged them up overnight, and now my mower is working fine again, maybe even better than when it was new. I also used points from my Discover card and that brought the price down even lower. I got a little over 2 years out of the previous battery, hope this one lasts too.

Expensive Battery
I first got shipped the wrong product by the company that was advertising it the cheapest, however, it took many emails and weeks of waiting, but I finally got shipped the right battery. I was almost ready to replace the entire lawn mower, but it turns out that leaving the lawn mower plugged in weakens and decreases the battery life tremendously. The battery replacement was easy to install, and after a recharge, the lawn mower is operating like new once again. The cost of the battery is quite expensive, but who could blame Earthwise for taking advantage of a capitalistic society. They are the only ones that produce this battery and ensure you have to buy from them because they make some exotic plugs that are only made for this battery.
