It's a unique item of tableware and a very interesting concept. One could be forgiven for being slightly confused with it's shape and size I think. In *most* places that come to my mind, coffee isn't normally drunk from a saucered cup, unless it's espresso. Tea is the usual beverage for something like this. Therefore I was slightly surprised at the size/thickness of both cup and saucer. The latter being the size of a small side plate.It's not, in the final reckoning, an item of delicate beauty, which is seems a shame since I'm sure the concept could easily translate to such an item. It sits on my dresser and reflects the sunlight from it's gold bands very prettily. It is a fun and interesting item, and comes with a very nice spoon!
