I have NO idea why every review is s***ting on these headphones.
I have NO idea why every review is s***ting on these headphones. They are probably the best iFrogz product for the price. The Highs are every crisp without being harsh, the mids are a little underwhelming but still present, lows are very pronounced making them very good for djing. Unlike the Mogul the headband has metal supporting it. The Phantom have extra throw 40mm drivers that make a very beautiful sound for 14 buck headphones. The "DJ style have a very flat response making them good for mixing/producing music. Where as the Mogul have a VERY curved response with A LOT of bass, I mean the type of bass that crushes you like Thor's Hammer, making them very good beat matching. These are like a healthy medium. Now the build quality could be better, they are mostly a good quality but still shiny plastic, and I can see no seems or any other signs of manufacturing processes (unlike the "DJ Style" or Mogul I might add). Over all, GET THEM! THERE 14 FRACKING BUCKS! The only thing I would really like is soft touch plastic. This is a short version of my Video Review COMING SOON.

A Below Average Set Of Headphones.
IFrogz Ear Pollution Phantom EP-PHT-BLK Headphones. These headphones are a bit overly bright on the high notes, so using tone controls or an equalizer may be necessary at normal or higher than normal listening levels to cut the screechiness. Something like this would not be noticed in loudspeakers, but it can be painful in headphones due to the high frequency sounds being highly directional, and your ears being right next to the earphones. The bass is a little tubby (muffled). So, for sound quality, I give these headphones 3 stars. The design uses too much plastic in the headband, and doesn't allow for much if any bending to cut down the heavy clamping pressure against your ears. The leather (leatherette?) ear pads can become sweaty after a while, but are quite soft. Due to the headphone clamping pressure, the ear pads will become painful against your ear lobes after a couple of hours. I suppose if you have small ears, these ear pads could be considered to be around-ear pads, but for most folks, they will be on-ear pads. The cord with a microphone is replaceable. The design I give 3 stars. The construction quality is nothing special, and given the amount of plastic involved, I would give it 3 stars. The comfort is good for maybe two hours, if that, before the clamping pressure against your earlobes becomes too much. Why can't the headphone companies make ear cups large enough to fit your ears into, so that the clamping pressure is against your head, and not your ears? Years ago, headphone ear cups were larger, like the ear cups on ear protectors, but for some reason, headphone ear cups have shrunk in size over the years. New designs are not always better designs. Comfort rates 3 stars at best. Adding the ratings together, these headphones earn 12 stars out of 20 stars, equal to 60%, a grade of "D-", and a rating of two stars. At the box store Marshalls, these headphones cost me $29.99, which is about what they are worth. The sound quality of these headphones is good at best, but the other factors involved make them difficult to recommend. Are they worth buying? Yes, if they are the only headphones available that you can afford, and also provided that you have a small head with small ears, -otherwise no. These headphones are headed for storage, -at least until I can figure out a way to make them more usable. Please, do not blame the messenger. I always tell it like it is, the bad along with the good. These product reviews are only a hobby, and I do not have a vested interest in either the products or their promotion.IFROGZ.COM - A ZAGG BRAND, 919N 1000W, LOGAN, UT 84321. MADE IN CHINA.

Muffled Music
These headphones are not very good. Over priced for the quality.Pros: Braided cable, so less likely to suffer cable damages.Cons: Music sounds muffled and drowned, the bass sounds distorted, headphones are way too tight on an average size head. Wearing them feels uncomfortable.
