Excellent vacuum
I’ve had this vacuum since 2018 and still works great. Great suction, easily cleaned and works for all floors and vehicles. Battery power is very good. A very handy vacuum.I would definitely buy again if this one fails.

Works on Ruggable Rugs!
I bought this for my office/cats' room. I have a Ruggable rug in there and the upright vacuum simply doesn't know what to do with a Ruggable. Hardwood suction doesn't pick up any cat hair or litter, carpet suction grabs the rug and doesn't let go, even without the beater bar. So I needed something to vacuum the rug as well as take care of any little messes around the house (like, for random example, when my cat knocks a plant off the table, spilling potting soil everywhere...) This does a great job with its rubber brushes picking up cat hair and litter from the rug. The crevice tool is super useful for getting the couch cushions. The battery doesn't last super long, but I'd say it's good for 2-3 quick vacuums. So far it hasn't been that big an issue, but if you are looking for something you can set on a charging pad and never think about the battery, this maybe isn't for you.I do love that it attaches to the wall. Really handy storage solution. However, I wish it had storage for the attachments, which I'm SURE will get lost soon. Having the wall attachment be a charger would also be great, if anyone has the ear of someone at Black + Decker. Throw that in the suggestion box for me!

Handy and versatile
I bought this handheld Black and Decker vac for its advertised pet power. It is very good with pet hair--picking it up and not getting impossibly tangled. I like that it seems to have good battery life. Seems substantial and fairly rugged. The spinner head is very good and it has the best suction with this self-powered attachment installed. The suction is somewhat lacking when using just the bare nozzle or small brush attachment. The nozzle and dirt chamber are one unit that detaches from the vac for emptying. That unit can be a little tricky to reconnect to the vac and if not snapped on just right, it can pop off unexpectedly.Overall, the vac is a good value and I use it frequently to vac my stairs, which it does quite well with the powered cleaning head installed.

Horrible suction!! Bad design or defective, either way I'm returning it ASAP.
I've had several Black & Decker hand vacuums over the years, and I have always been happy with them. With previous models the suction was great, and the vacuum never lost suction no matter how full the dust cup got (within reason). And with other B&D models I never had any trouble with completely emptying the dust cup, and the filter almost never got clogged. But the suction on this model is horrible! It barely picks up anything. Seriously. It's a Pet Vacuum and it can't even pick up stray cat litter around the litter box. It barely picks up crumbs from the kitchen floor! I've never owned or used a hand vacuum with such poor suction. Did they not even test this out on cat litter granules? There's LITERALLY a photo on the box showing it being used to pick up cat litter! I even tried using the various attachments and extending the nozzle to see if that makes a difference, but no matter what I've tried the suction is still awful. Also, the dust cup is nearly impossible to empty completely. When you tip the cup over to empty it, the flap inside (the rubber flap that keeps stuff from falling back down through the nozzle) flips open and blocks the stuff that I'm trying to empty from the dust cup. I tried reaching my fingers in to just pull out the remaining debris, and the flap popped off! I was able to reattach it, but I'm sure it will happen again and I'll risk breaking it every time I have to reattach it.And if you're vacuuming an area with fine dust particles (like any area near a litter box), the filter gets clogged almost immediately and it completely loses suction. At least I think it's the filter clogging, because if you pull out the filter and tap it several times on the counter or the bottom of the sink, a whole bunch of dust falls out every time you tap it. A lot of dust. That's never happened for me with other models. It might be because this model has a flat filter, instead of the usual "cup" shaped filter in other B&D models. Seems like a bad choice to change the filter design. If I were skilled with taking videos, I would upload one showing how this thing actually *drops* stuff that it just picked up! Maybe this one is defective, or maybe it's a horrible design. Either way, I'm returning it and Amazon is paying for the return shipping. I'll just go to the store to buy a hand vacuum so I can try out different brands and make sure all the parts are included (other reviewers have said the wall mount attachment was missing from theirs).I thought I could depend on Black & Decker quality enough to order a hand vacuum online. I was wrong. The one redeeming quality with this model is the motorized brush attachment. It's easy to attach, and it spins as expected. Unfortunately, since the suction is so horrible I can't comment on how well the brush actually picks up pet hair or anything else.

Compact, surprisingly powerful, and simple to disassemble and clean.
The media could not be loaded. I have four dogs who shed their coats in a way that I can only describe as “sadistically.” I use a heavy-duty vacuum for my floors, but needed something to quickly and easily whip out for daily couch cleanings. Most handheld vacuums either struggle to pick up hair, feature a roller brush that jams, or are prohibitively expensive, but this one does the trick at an affordable price. It does still have a roller brush, but it’s made from some sort of thick rubber or silicone or something, which makes it malleable enough to easily untangle any long fabric threads that occasionally wrap around it; and keeps it simple enough to just rinse in the sink to clean it.The brush combined with the suction power provides a very satisfying feeling of actually physically picking up dirt, debris, and fur—stellar feedback. The battery isn’t an issue since I use it sporadically, so I’m not sure what you can expect if intending to use it for long sessions. But for me, after probably 20 minutes of cumulative use over the weeks, it’s still working strong off the initial charge. The capacity of the detachable bin leaves a bit to be desired, but it isn’t bad, and the fact that you just pop it off, shake it out, and pop it back on negates a lot of the drawback from the small size.Time will tell how long the brush/bristles and filters last. So far it seems promising and I’m not particularly worried about it.Very pleased with this vacuum so far. Best handheld pet vac for the price range I’ve ever bought.

annoyingly loud
it is extremely loud, very annoying. the brush attachment is very wimpy, which really does nothing. the pet attachment is awkward, but works ok on stairs. I do however like the retractable crevice tool .
