So happy I made this purchase. The piece itself looks great on the outside and is a great, warm-toned wood with cute scalloped edges. The functionality of the lift top, though, is what sold me. This table is the perfect living room table asit doubles as storage (I can store books and random seasonal decor inside), and an easy dinner table when the top is lifted and I decide to eat dinner on the couch, all while still looking nice and high-end. It didn't take me long to build, but I would recommend having someone help you. I've had mine for about a year now and haven't at any issues at all.

Beatiful!!!! Easy to assemble, however I used an eletric screwdriver to help me. I guess took me 1h total.

Edit: I decided to return this coffee table because it was just way too tiny and now Im having an incredibly difficult time trying to return it. They are not making it easy and asking for pictures of the packaging etc. Wish I never bought this table.From the reviews, I knew this would be on the smaller side, but it's just a tad too small for me. My living room is not large so I figured it would work, but wish it was a little wider and a little taller. The oak color is also a bit darker than I was hoping for. Thought it would be a lighter, but I think I can make it work with my decor.The instructions were easy to follow. It took me a couple hours to put together which is what the instructions say it would take. I also used a small drill even though the instructions said not to and that made it easier to put together.Would have given it more stars if it was slightly larger and taller. If you have a small living room and small furniture I think this will work well for you.I will probably still keep it but I might change out the legs to make it a few inches taller.

This is very heavy and great quality. The instructions to build are outstanding and easy even though there are a lot of steps and you will need a second person for attaching the top piece with the hinge.The one slight negative is that it's low to the ground and when the table top is extended it is tight against my legs when sitting on my couch (couch is standard height). I will be extended the screw-in legs on the bottom of the coffee table to see if the extra inch helps but I think it will do the trick.Overall it is much better than I thought it would be in quality and I'm very impressed. Fits between my u-shape couch perfectly.The color is very dark like espresso brown which looks blackish but is not entirely black. I am actually fine with that because much of my other furniture is the same color. It's more of a natural semi-matte finish and not glossy either which I like.I would definitely buy this again!

Extremely hard to put together, heavy, and instructions aren’t specific enough with the corner pieces. Put it together and hard to take it apart at least 3 times as I went. Cracked 2 pieces.

The media could not be loaded. Really impressed with this table. The black oak finish looks sleek and modern, yet the chamfered edges give it a warm farmhouse touch. The lift-top mechanism is smooth and makes working or eating from the couch super convenient. I also love the hidden storage—perfect for keeping the living room clutter-free. The soft-closing feature adds a high-end feel. It’s sturdy, easy to assemble, and exactly what I needed. Highly recommend!
