GoPro Converted!
Ok so firstly I loved my GoPro and even though I pretty much gave it away regret not still having it as I think they both sit in different aspects of an action cam.... But! Insta360 x3 is way more fun! I created a cool video on my very first run which people straight away commented how cool it actually was.The camera will obviously record in 360° so when it comes to stabilisation you have 360° at your hands to stable the picture recorded at 5.7k and 30fps.Loads of different modes but that being said it's so simple to use my kids are intelligent so no question they could use it but put it in the hands of a grand parent then I think even they could given a few pointers be able to use it and after time get the jist of its unique angles it can record and as for the selfie stick..... Wow amazes people and has them scratching their heads on how on earth you recorded the footage, drone normally comes to mind, nope it's invisible selfie and camera. So I ran with 360 and go incredible video, 2nd run (today in fact) not so great as I tried to use it like a GoPro as FOV mode and the shake was bad! However like I say it's new to me and I realised the for this FOV+ is wayyyyyy better with stabilisation and horizon lock 🙈 wish I'd sushed that before.Camera is awesome to being able to take 72MP 360 picture and you can chose which bit to crop to share or just share a 360° photo. The app is incredible with loads of tips, tutorials, templates, editing tools and social element where as you can view other members videos and pictures to see what you can achieve when you become Zen Master! All in all do I recommend absolutely! Do I suggest replacing your GoPro.... I'd keep the two and you will soon see what the advantages of each bring. I can see this being such fun though! Get one and if I were you get the package with the not so good memory card and just buy another SanDisk high-speed card, you will save money anyway! 👍🏼

Great all round quailty
I've been doing 360 photography for twenty years before the advent of 360 cameras. I have about six different dedicated 360 cameras and this is the first ive had an arounder that does photography and video well with great software, workflow and ease of use. Good price and loads of accessories. Can be used on its own with phone and pc with ease. Its not the best at everything but not far away but a fantastic all-rounder its got great stitching, dynamic range, both with video and stills and is now my go to action camera and the fact that its water proof and fits in a pocket is a joy for using in Scotlands weather whether youre doing water sports or out enjoying the countryside. Great piece of kit a usable battery life, a true gem that I would easily recommend.

Perfect for big adventures—timelapse and 360 editing are next level
Picked this up to capture both training and the 3 Peaks Challenge itself. It’s completely changed how I record and share footage.• Timeskip mode is incredible—the timelapse output looks cinematic straight out of the camera• 360 editing is effortless—you can refocus and reframe shots after filming, which makes it feel like magic• Lightweight, durable, and handles tough conditions with no issue• Battery life held up well even on longer hikesIt’s rare to use a product that just works this well. If I could give it 10 stars, I would.

Overheats, stops recording, terrible battery. GOOGLE its PROBLEMS BEFORE BUYING
UPDATE:After several months usage the unit has become pretty much unusable. Overheats and shuts off after 15-20 minutes of use. This is not acceptable behaviour for a dedicated £500 video camera. AVOID. This is a common issue, google it. Insta have a terrible customer service reputation, i have put in a request for support so lets see where it takes me. Be very wary, YouTubers are paid to make this camera look good but there are clearly technical issues that they don't mention.I have used this on my bike and in my car. On bike it is connected so that it pokes out by my handlebar, this way there is a 360 degree view of overtraking vehicles. Cars can see the camera and when i ride with it on it feels like vehicles are in general passing me more safely. Those that don't are reported and the images that the camera provides are more than sufficient for GoSafe Wales to secure a conviction. In the car the camera is a little too wide angle, it can only really be used front facing and the image is often insufficient to read car number plates. What is frustrating is the promise of telemetry. The ability to add GPS, speed, etc information to videos. Individuals on YouTube who clearly work indirectly for Insta will tell you this is a simple process. It is not. The phone app is a horrible and bloated affair that never seems to function as instructions imply. Buttons and functions are missing. I am sure this is all done so that you purchase the Insta360 GPS remote. Yep, it's all about selling up.Deep down, even though i like a lot of the footage, i wish i'd gone for a GoPro. Very frustrating.

Great camera but….
The camera itself is brilliant, well thought out and extremely powerful. It took me 2 days of head scratching to work out the SD card bundled with this product (camera, selfie stick, lens cover and SD card) weren’t compatible with the camera!! It was causing it to crash and to glitch.Luckily I had a Sandisk extreme SD card I use for my GoPro and that seemed to fix the constant glitching and crashing. So the bundled SD card is no good for the transfer rates required by the Insta360 X3 so avoid it!The camera itself is awesome the software for the iPhone is good so is the Mac software. It’s a steep learning curve when you start as it’s all about viewports and key frames but once you got your head around it it’s brilliant and makes a GoPro seem old hat.Would deffo recommend but please sort the SD cards out.
