The Avon Grip - A very popular, soft feeling golf grip for many years. The Original Chamois design with its innovative Air-Cushioned Absorption System (ACAS) & slight reminder, continues to set the grip standard in comfort and control for over two decades. Because of its soft, supple feel, it is preferred by golfers in need of arthritic relief.

Lighter grip pressure leads to better control
These grips are good for me. The oversize feature makes it easier to grip my clubs. My painful finger joints make me want to grip standard grips my clubs to tightly. These grips help me lessen the grip pressure and still feel I can control the club.

Slimy For Some Reason
I got this Jumbo brown grip as a part of an Ebay Ping Eye2+ 5-iron purchase (to fill out a set I was given as a gift without the 5) a long time ago. No matter how hard I tried, I just could not get used to it's feel. It was slimy and would slip in my hands. I washed it completely multiple times with various de-greasing soaps thinking that maybe it was just very used (remember, it came with an Ebay purchase of an older club and all), but no, that is actually how it feels as I found out later since I've felt ones in golf shops out of curiosity which were brand new and they felt exactly like this. Of course this also meant I'd end up over-gripping to compensate for the slippage which is never a good thing for so many reasons. It looked nice though, especially with the ribbing down the front which helps with alignment. So those are pluses, if my only ones.Needless to say I had it replaced. My replacement of choice was the ultra-tacky Golf Pride Tour Wrap NG Midsize Grip (Black) , which I love.
