Stopped working AND a fire hazard
UPDATE TWOThey wanted me to delete negative review in exchange for refund, so it's back to one star. It's hazardous, and they don't stand behind their product. I contacted Amazon, and they issued a refund.UPDATE ONEThey have promised a refund, so I upgraded from one star to two.ORIGINAL POSTThis worked pretty well for less than two months. During that time it would take a week or more to fill the small container, but it helped freshen up the closet. One day the light was blinking and it was making an odd sound cycling on and off. I unplugged the power supply from the back of the unit--but I did not unplug the power supply from the wall. The next day, I noticed a plasticky smell, and saw the power supply was melting. It was so hot that I couldn't pick it up from the top. So it broke after two months and could have started a fire.

Quiet and compact — Perfect for a closet (or "cloakroom", lol)
Quiet & compact. After returning another brand dehumidifier, I'm buying another one of these. The low speed fan mode (sleep mode) is much quieter than other models. This one is very compact; fits perfectly under the shelves in my closet.Reservoir is on the smaller side; may require daily emptying if you have a lot of humidity.

Great addition to my apartment
While I've only had this dehumidifier a couple days, it has been very helpful to the environment in my apartment. Being in the basement causes the atmosphere to be humid inside, but this relieves the humidity just enough. While it is a large open space, this device still takes moisture out of the air effectively. I like having it near me to reduce sweating. Paired with central air and a fan, the living situation is excellent.

You'll be amazed at the moisture this draws out
LOVE! Couldn't be easier to run. Plug in, on/off on the back side. Blue glowing button on top, press to higher/lower action. Button will glow yellow when tank on the bottom needs to be emptied and will not draw anymore moisture till emptied. Clear plastic tank slides in & out of the bottom when needed to empty. Since the water is pretty much contained it's not going to splash all over when you go to empty, in fact you have to pull the small black rubber plug on it to empty easily. I have ours running all the time in our smallish bathroom..when showering turn on high, otherwise just have running on the lower setting.

It's just like all other small peltier dehumidifiers
Peltier dehumidifiers use a semiconductor to cool coils that draw in moisture from the surrounding air, unlike standard dehumidifiers that use a compressor to cool the coils (similar to a fridge or AC). The benefit is that it uses less energy and is quieter (no noisy compressor). The downside is that it's much less effective.Normal household dehumidifiers are designed to remove 30-90 pints of water per day. By comparison, this one is designed to remove ~0.75 pints per day. Google "dehumidifier size chart", and you'll see that a 1,000 sqft apartment is recommended to have a dehumidifier rated at 70 pints per day. This is only 1% as powerful, so don't expect it to make any noticeable difference on an apartment or large room. But in a very small room, closet, or bathroom, it should help.I have a few peltier dehumidifiers. They are all pretty small. They are all pretty quite (the only sound they make is the noise from their fan, which is similar to the sound a fan on your computer would make). And, they all seem to have these annoying indicator lights at are always on and can't be turned off. I like the shape of this more than my others. However, it also has the smallest tank by far (needs to be emptied every 2-3 days).Generally I don't recommend people get peltier dehumidifiers. But if you're one of the few people who would actually benefit from one, then this is a fine choice.

Dry Basement Air
I got this to go in a small, windowless basement storage room. It does a great job of drying out the air. When I open the door to that room, I can feel the difference in humidity between the room with the dehumidifier and the larger room without one. It's easy to operate, a snap to empty, and the size (not much larger than a box of tissues) makes it great for small spaces.Update: I've used this dehumidifier constantly for two years. Still going strong.

Excellent compact dehumidifier
I have only had this unit a few days and already have noticed water in the reservoir! This unit is compact and quiet. It is really making a difference in our basement. I highly recommend this unit if you are looking for a compact dehumidifier

Great for small spaces
Bought 3 for use some large wall to wall closets. Had been doing a great job extracting water (in 2 -3 cubic metres respectively). The noise on highest setting is like a loud laptop, and on sleep mode is barely audible. The design is compact and easy to place in a tight spot. Easy to remove the water drawer and drain. Would buy again.
