Ultimate Ears 984-000667 UE ROLL 2 Waterproof and Shockproof Ultraportable Bluetooth Speaker

Lemme quickly tell you the story behind my investment which is probably one of the bests I've ever made. So one of my friend bought the UE roll 2 a little while ago, and kept talking about it, going on for hours about how great of a speaker it is etc. At first I thought it was because he just bought it and it was the effect of having a brand new product, but his fascination for the product kept going on for months till this day. Eventually, he ended up buying the wonderboom for his girlfriend and the megaboom for himself as you can see in the pics. He brought the megaboom to all of the parties and kept carrying the UE roll 2 around, and both of these have an amazing sound. By the end, he really convinced me to get the UE roll 2 because I wanted a speaker for summer, and in here, summer means pool parties and going to the beach every single day from early May to late September, so music really is a must. This speaker is probably the best speaker I've owned, knowing that I had the supertooth disco 3 before, and even if it's way bigger, the sound of the roll 2 is way more powerful. I was undecided at first between the boom 2, the megaboom and the roll 2, and my friend told me to go for the roll 2 if I wanted to be able to carry it everywhere: this, right here is the whole point of these speakers. Amazing sound for the price, the design is amazing, and the idea of the strap is genius, you get to hang it in the shower, to the strap of your bag, to whatever you want, no need to put the speaker inside the bag anymore and only hear the bass! Plus in pools, you can put it on the floater and get to listen to music right in the middle of the pool which is pretty amazing. The highs are amazing and the bass is really nice, not overwhelming like most speakers. Now, let me tell you why the 5 stars. The battery is a killer, it lasts ages from my morning shower ritual at 8am to the latest parties at 3am. You can legit carry the speaker everywhere and the sound is customizable because there's an amazing software that's really really well thought. In the software you have an EQ, but also have the double pair option that allows you to connect to another roll 2 to get more sound while streaming the same track, and a dj option that allows 2 other people to connect to the roll to change the music. Also, you can see the battery level on the screen, and most of all can change volume not only of the sound streaming from your phone but also on the speaker. Now here's the best part: you can turn off, but also on, the speaker from the software, which is one of the best features from my point of view. Now, if you don't know which product to get here's my opinion: for huge parties, go for the megaboom. For chilling but not going out as much, go for the boom 2. To go out all day and enjoy your time out at the beach or skating or eating ice cream with your friends while streaming music, but also indoors if you're on your phone just scrolling through your Facebook or Instagram feed while listening to music, I recommend the roll 2 (mostly if you're a teenager or a young adult) over the wonderboom because it's more portable (the WB is sort of a ball while the R2 is more of a disk but still has a strap), because the sound for the price is amazing, it is able to stream music at really loud and really low level but can still perfectly distinct every sound, it truly is one of my best investments and I won't hesitate to buy again from the brand and will probably end up like my friend lmao!Oh and also talking about the battery, if you press play and pause at the same time on the speaker, you can hear the best integrated voice ever telling you the percentage of battery of the speaker 😉.

For a long while I've been looking for a decent portable speaker for use with my phone, iPad, and other tablets, let's face it, your devices aren't great for audio.I was originally looking at the UE Roll and hoping that it would fall in price on release of the UE Roll 2, however, at the time there was little difference between prices so I went ahead and ordered the UE Roll 2. I was expecting it next day, but, when I received my confirmation email from Amazon it gave me a delivery date several days later. I wasn't in a great rush, but it would have been nice if the listing said that it was going to be a few days.Anyway, the speaker came and I was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked the look of it. I had previously had a look at other colours in John Lewis in the weeks leading up to my ordering from Amazon but decided on 'Sugarplum' despite not having seen it in person.The unit came already charged, but, for some reason it took a little while for my iPad Air 2 to connect to it, even though on the packaging it all "APPPPPLLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE". However, once that small hurdle was crossed I nearly had my eardrums blown out when playing my tunes, but it does say in the instructions that when it connects to Apple products it's going to be LOUD......And loud it is. For something so small the sound is phenomenal, I mostly listen to classical music and the speaker comes across as crystal clear, you can pick out individual instruments in a way I never could using the native speakers on my various devices. It's also great for pop music, hip hop, spoken word, and just about any you throw at it including YouTube, Netflix, and Amazon Prime TV and Movies.I get consistent results with various Apple devices, Samsung devices, and also from Kindle Fires and Windows tablets, and, best of all, it's waterproof and is great in the shower - it would be even better if my bathroom wasn't so echo-y...It's a marvellous product and I'm tempted to purchase addition units for different rooms.

I was half-heartedly looking for a relatively portable Bluetooth speaker, checking couple of shops to see what they look like in real life, thinking where would I use them around the house, practicality of it all and so on. Finally went to check "Which?" for the Best Buys, and seen .... this?!?. By far the best score for something looking like a pin-cushion ?!? Called Ultimate Ears Roll ?!? Yeah, right! This little marvel is as portable as it gets, and as simple as it gets, 13.5 cm diameter, weight 330 grams. On and off & Bluetooth buttons on the back, volume control on the front. Little cord attached, so you can hang it easily. It is also waterproof, and they even give you a little round floatie that I might try in the bath one day. I can see people (possibly a third or even a quarter of my age) taking it with them to the beach or picnic. Sound is seriously, surprisingly good. I tried it with Spotify and internet radio, also YouTube. Just remember, this is a small speaker that will not fill in a very large room with the same strong sound as your music system. Apart from that get it and enjoy !!!

Ottimo altoparlante,pratico e leggero,si può portare ovunque,anche in barca essendo impermeabile!la batteria dura abbastanza e il suono è nitido.ha i 2 pulsanti per regolare il volume e quello dell'accensione/spegnimento.Consigliatissima.

Come tanti, nel tempo ho acquistato diverse casse bluetooth - non sempre il risultato era all'altezza delle aspettative. In questo caso invece mi sembra di aver fatto l'acquisto giusto. Il prodotto appare subito "consistente", il materiale e il senso di robustezza che trasmette sono un ottimo punto di partenza. La cassa non è piccola, leggermente più grande del palmo di una mano, e il peso è abbastanza significativo (la mia bilancia dice 314 grammi). Il suono è nitido, per le mie esigenze e per il prezzo mi sembra del tutto adeguato.Ecco, il prezzo: ho notato che tende ad oscillare molto, quindi si tratta di un prodotto da seguire per un acquisto ragionato. Nel mio caso sono riuscito a prenderlo leggermente sotto i 55 euro.Aggiungo altre caratteristiche da tenere presenti:è impermeabile (la presa usb per la ricarica è nascosta nel retro dentro uno sportellino),è dotato di una presa jack audio 3,5" per collegarlo con qualunque cosa vi venga in mente,c'è un robusto elastico nel retro per appenderlo quando serve,per ascoltare il livello della carica bisogna premere entrambi i pulsanti del volume (ebbene sì: quei disegni sulla cassa non sono un segno religioso, sono due pulsanti!),... basta così :)PS: mi sono accorto della disponibilità di un'app sullo store (ho provato solo quella Android)Non è necessaria per far funzionare la cassa, ovviamente, però ci sono alcune funzionalità gustose, tra cui:- equalizzatore, display carica residua, istruzioni d'uso, ecc.- gestione ON/OFF: in pratica potrai sempre accendere o spegnere la cassa dal tuo cellulare!

Tout simplement : j'adooooore ! C'est petit, léger, waterproof, batterie durant pres de 10h, s'accroche et peut s'attacher partout ... On ne craint pas et on se rejoint même formidablement de l'emporter partout avec soi : pluie, douche, humidité, randonnée, voyage, Soiree entre amis... On pose cette enceinte un peu n'importe où et le son est genial ! Je ne jure que par UE depuis que j'ai découvert la UE boom 2 ;) c'est tout simplement de la super qualité à un prix tellement raisonnable ! Chaque personne entendant le son de ce petit objet est bluffé. Je conseille à tous ceux que je rencontre d'acheter ce produit.

Non posso che consigliare questo prodotto di Ultimate Ears. Forma a disco piacevole, e colorazione STUPENDA. E' waterproof e quindi +++ per l'estate e la piscina. Il piccolo galleggiante con cui arriva è carinissimo e super utile(altrimenti non galleggerebbe). Lo si può maltrattare abbastanza, poi si lava sotto l'acqua corrente, e via come nuovo. Il suono è perfetto, naturalmente i bassi non sono cosi profondi per andare in giro e avere poco peso in più è straconsigliato. Io lo attacco puntualmente sullo spallaccio dello zaino e via.

Seit wenigen Tagen ist das gute Stück jetzt in meinem Besitz. Anfangs war ich etwas skeptisch, ob ein so flaches Teil auch einen guten Klang haben kann.Die Antwort: Ja hat es. Sogar besser als erhofft! Obwohl die UE Roll 2 sehr flach und generell sehr klein ist, ist der Bass wirklich Top! Wer hier einen extrem Starken und spürbaren Bass erwartet, muss einmal auf die Maße achten. Vor allem die höhen und mitten sind wirklich gelungen. Auch bei höherer Lautstärke Sind diese noch klar und deutlich. Der Bass wird schwächer, umso lauer man macht, ist dennoch vorhanden.Ich habe den Lautsprecher, bis jetzt, nur "Indoor" betrieben, und konnte somit die Volle Lautstärke nicht testen, da bei 3/4 Lautstärke des Handys, und voller Lautstärke der UE Roll meine Ohren nicht mehr wollen. Der Klang wurde dabei nicht viel schlechter, und nichts schepperte, es wurde schlichtweg zu laut ;DDie "Akku-ansage-Funktion" ist gut gelöst. Da es bei dem Lautsprecher keine Akku anzeige gibt, wird der Akku stand (in 10% schritten) angesagt, wenn man die Lauter- und Leiser taste gleichzeitig drückt. Anfangs auf Englisch, nach dem ersten start der empfehlenswerten UE Roll App sogar auf deutsch.Laut UE hält der Akku 9 Stunden. Das finde ich einen guten Wert. Je nach Lautstärke schafft die ca. 4cm dicke Scheibe 6.10 Stunden. Die Aufladezeit ist mit etwa 4 1/2 Stunden von 0 auf 100% recht lang. Das stört mich aber nicht, da der Akku dafür auch lange durchhält.Dei Gummi-Befestigung auf der Rückseite der Scheibe ist einfach genial. Ich nehme den Lautsprecher oft mit in die Dusche, um mich an der Musik zu erfreuen. Ich befestige ihn an der senkrecht hängenden Stange, an der der Duschkopf befestigt ist. Obwohl die Stange feucht ist, und der Lautsprecher vibriert rutscht er nicht nach unten. Laut einigen Langzeittests Leiert das Gummi auch nicht aus.Die IPX7 Zertifizierung (30 min in ein meter tiefen Wasser) ist vor allem für Poll-Partys und Wassersport (z.B. Kanu fahren) nützlich. Mir hätte aber auch gereicht, wenn der Lautsprecher nur Spritzwasser geschützt währe. Nachdem das Wasser abgelaufen ist, ist der Klang wieder voll da.Die UE Roll 2 ist ein Super Lautsprecher. Der Sound haut mich nicht aus den Socken, ist dennoch beeindruckend führ diese Größe. Ich kann den Lautsprecher nur empfehlen!!!
