These boots were made for walking.
I am technically a 6.5 wide but tend to wear size 7 in Vionic shoes. The 7 really pinched my toes so I returned them and got a 7 wide instead. Now my toes fit but I have to insert my orthotics to fill out the shoe and my heel still slips around while I walk. That said, the arch support is good and I can wear them for hours before my feet get tired. I broke them in last night at an art walk. I did not experience heel pain but the balls of my feet grew sore after several hours of standing and walking. Not bad for a girl who isn't used to anything with a heel, if you ask me.I own other Vionic shoes that I have rated with an enthusiastic 5 stars. However, with this shoe I only gave 4 stars because I think I'm sacrificing good fit for fashion. That said, I look at it this way: at least I'm not sacrificing my comfort or the health of my feet in order to dress in the style that I choose. I still think these boots are totally worth it and I feel good sporting recent fashions instead of having to wear orthopedic shoes that look... well... orthopedic. I feel like a million bucks in those shoes, inside and out.

Excellent arch support
I bought this pair along with the Upton boot. I bought 1/2 size up on both of them because I'd wear socks and saw other reviews about them being a bit narrow. They indeed were a little narrow around the toes, but stretched after a few wears. The leather at the top of the boot is stiff, and it hurts a bit if you walk too fast. However, I think they will both stretch out over time. I bought a silicon strip that's normally placed at the back of the heel and placed along the edge of the sides. That's helped a lot.Excellent arch support. Great for my knees and plantar fascietis.Frankly they are not as stylish as I'd like, but look fine with business attire.

Great Boots
These black Vionic ankle boots are cute and fun to wear. Comfortable too. I've worn them with both slacks (to church) and with jeans, and they work with both types of garments. I can't tell you how much I appreciate discovering these boots. They also position your feet in a way that corrects putting too much weight on the outside of your feet. Took me a minute or two to figure that out, but I appreciate that feature. I have arthritis in the balls of my feet and find that I tend to roll my feet a bit to the outside to avoid putting most of the weight on the ball. I think if I'd keep that up over a long time that it would affect my posture, as well as the wearing out of shoe soles. I'm an older woman and I don't feel like I'm trying to be too "trendy" wearing a shoe that is aimed at a young sassy woman and ending up looking like I'm trying too hard. :)

Fabulous fit, great feel and no pain.
Tested for a week or two in the house, getting my feet used to these arches. I have severe plantar flasc. from work and finding a boot with a heel again -that I can wear out is a dream! When I put these on, once I get used to a heel again, are fab. No pain, and I mean none. My feet feel new again, and the sole is comfy and pretty much non skid. The quality is very good. Leather very nice. I believe these boots are my new go to for going out. I love the height of the heel and I can't believe how much they FEEL GOOD! Would highly recommend to anyone who seeks a shoe like this. Am SO very happy to have a boot with a heel I can wear and no pain. I was a complete skeptic and Vionic has completely changed my mind. Price is high but if they last me over a year I will be very happy.

Beautiful boots - with a bit of an odd "arch support" (maybe it's just me?)
I ordered 1/2 size larger, as other reviewers suggested, and this was PERFECT!These are beautiful boots, and I'm very happy with them!My only SLIGHT gripe is there's a "bulge" in the foot (maybe arch support, but runs along the length, not width, of the boot.)It's only a little uncomfortable on one side, which is a little odd. I haven't tried wearing them for several hours yet, so, I don't know if it will be any issue at all. However, I'm still very happy I bought them - they seem to be REALLY nice boots!

Orthaheel fixed my plantar fasciitis.
These are beautiful and look well-made. The Orthaheel support is present, but not as obviously pressing on my arch as in the previous pair I bought. That could be because I'm used to them, but they seem better with this pair. I'm shocked that I can wear any heel again! The toe area is a little narrower than my medium-to slightly wide feet need, but I seem to have become accustomed to them. My Orthaheel sandals cured my plantar fasciitis. Seriously! I hope these are just as good. We will see after I've had them for a bit longer.--------------------------Update: After wearing these a while I've upgraded the review to 5 stars. The narrow toe box I was afraid would bother me was no problem at all. I love that I can wear even a moderate heel again!

Cute but odd fit
I ordered the size that I normally wear with Vionic but the fit seems to be a bit odd with this pair. I'm not sure if it's the pointed toe or what, but the front of the shoe seems snug so that I can only wear them with trouser stockings otherwise my baby toes are smashed. While at the same time the heel area seems bigger and the middle/arch area fits great. Overall, once I figured out the trouser stockings I am pleased with the fit.

Love hate relationship...
I love these!!! My husband bought these for my birthday and they are awesome! They are a bit too high for me. I have to wear them for a few hours here and there but for the most part they are cute and somewhat comfortable. I have average sized feet and these really do wear along the sides and after a few hours I really feel the need to take them off! I do love them though!

Stiff and small
Very stiff and too small for size to even fit them on.

the roughest shoes ever
don't buy, not a quality product, very disappointed with it. I had them on for 30 min a week ago, they were so rough, I could barely walk home, I put 4 plasters on each foot, but the pain was unbelievable, I threw them away, very bad quality!
