What Casio does best
This is what Casio do best, a good looking practical, everyday watch as cheap as chips. This model looks great with its stunning orange numerals on a black background, with a degree of water protection and glow in the dark hands to boot. The price of this watch is crazy low especially coming from a world renowned reputable manufacturer. Reliability therefore is almost a guarantee. The dial is a good size too and the strap which is not at all refined, seems rugged enough to last the distance. To me this is what Casio does best, a watch for the masses with features that belittle the price. It doesn’t pretend to be something it’s not. For the price, forgetting the digital format, this watch on pure value is very hard to beat.<<GeneriEric>> Rating 🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴 Incredible watch at this price

Good simple watch with attractive readable appearance.
Good simple watch with attractive minimalist design and clear readable face. I've had it for a couple of weeks and it is keeping time well. The only control knob lets you set the time!It has no date or other functions. But that's what I want - like most people now I carry a smart phone which can do the fancy stuff. So what's the point of having a watch? Expensive watches seem basically to be jewellery. But I just want a watch to provide an extra level of security when traveling, letting me check the time instantly and without getting my phone out. The dial also has faint secondary markings in 24-hour time, so I can refer to these without having to calculate things like departure times.Overall the watch is very clear when you look at it deliberately, but it doesn't distract by drawing your attention to the time when you don't. If you need even higher visibility the white on black version Casio Men's Watch MW-240-1BVEF would give higher contrast. But I like the orange on black. The hands are also large and easily spotted. At night they glow for a while after exposure to light but gradually fade. There is no back light.I find the watch a good size. The face measures 4cm diameter overall, with the area visible below the glass 3.5cm across. This is a good average medium size for a male watch. Some are far too large. This is light and easily forgotten when you are wearing it.I've docked off one star as the watch came already going, with the battery tab removed. This means I don't know how long the battery will last. With this category of very cheap watch this is a drawback, as getting the battery replaced is expensive in relation to the price of the watch, and may disrupt the water seal if done badly. Seller was Amazon itself. On the plus side the black plastic strap is comfortable and looks like it will last. The face glass is nothing fancy and will probably scratch eventually, but so far no problems. It seems to me the next category up of watch to consider starts at £30 to £40. These can give you stronger face glass and better water resistance, a more easily replaced battery and strap, and perhaps a day or date function. For example, this Mens Lorus Watch RXN65AX9. Such watches are designed to keep for a few years, whereas this Casio is more of a disposable item. But I'm very happy with it.

BUY ONE - GREAT BRAND
Excellent value watch that I've hardly had off my wrist since I bought it a couple of months ago. It arrived very quickly and has kept perfect time. I have tiny wrists but there are lots of holes in the silicone strap to accommodate small or large wrists.I love the orange luminous numbers and hands which make it easy to read the time in the dark, and this feature contrasts well against the black background and strap.Casio is an excellent brand and many people don't realise that it is one of the few brands that have their own unique internal mechanism which means they can easily & cheaply can be repaired or replaced, that is, if they ever need it.I'm finished with the expensive, designer watches that I used to wear as they are not only a theft liability (I've experienced) but maintenance costs are ridiculous.I highly recommend this inexpensive watch & indeed the Casio brand. Mine looks good, feels comfortable and does its job perfectly. This review has not been coerced but is happily written of my own volition. I paid the full price for the watch & have had no contact with the Casio brandNB It's now almost two years since I bought this watch, have worn it every day & it's still going strong, even with the original battery! Can't praise it enough 😊UPDATE @ 24/11/21:--Well, after almost two years the battery died 😪 but there is nothing wrong with the actual watch mechanism.Although batteries for this watch are cheap, the jeweller wanted to charge me £15!! ......So I bought a new watch (battery included) from Amazon for £14.99!THAT is logic for you as I didn't want to trail jeweller's shops & THAT is how much I love the watch 😁👍.

A good value basic analogue watch from Casio.
I am pleased with the Casio watch, which I bought to tide me over until I can get a replacement battery for my regular daily watch. That sounds crazy I know, but I can’t get to the watch repairer for the time being as I’m over 70, self-isolating and live alone. The Casio watch gets 5 stars for value. It’s a good size for me, as I have small wrists, without being too small. So far, it’s done what it says on the tin: it’s a basic plastic analogue watch that costs under £20.It looks good with the orange numerals and is easy to read, although it isn’t luminous (few watches seem to be these days). The hour and minute hands do seem to glow somewhat in the dark though, but you have to guess the time as the numerals don’t glow.I’ve only had it a few days, but it seems accurate and I like being able to set the second hand on what is a cheap watch.I’ve not had it long enough to test its water resistance, but it doesn’t claim to be more than showerproof. The strap is plastic of course, but quite comfortable and easy to open and close.A Rolex this is not, but overall it’s a good buy for someone wanting a basic analogue watch for £20.
