Good small mirror for road bike
Other reviews comment on how small this mirror is, but for a road bike I am not looking for a wardrobe mirror or anything. It is small and discrete but can be adjusted to give a very adequate view of the road behind. It is designed to be adjustable in all directions. I found that although the bar-end fixture allowed for rotation at that joint, I essentially don't need that, as the mirror can be adjusted at other joints. In fact it was possible to pull the mirror out of the bar end even when tightened up with the correct shim. I have modified a rubber shim instead and this gives a very firm fixture which is better for me. I am glad to recommend this product for road biking, but I can appreciate that for town cycling, a larger mirror would be better.

Great Little Mirror...
Very easy to fit and comes with two shims/collars depending on the diametre of your handle bars or bar ends, all you need is a screw driver. Once fitted it's firmly in place with no chance of falling off or out. The mirror is fully adjustable and thankfully stays in place once positioned (no tools required) even going over a few speed bumps. As you can see from my image, I have the mirror attached to my right hand stubby bar end, it's out of my way and I'm out of it's way. Saying that, if I'm holding the bar end, a couple of knuckles just come in to view on the bottom left corner, but in no way do they hamper the rear view...So way four stars, if I had the option I'd gladly give it 4.5, but I knocked a star off for the distortion at the top of the mirror, noticeable near the top of the tree. It's small and slightly convex but shows traffic approaching perfectly. A larger mirror will show more road and more sky and might be a little easier on the eye when you first look at it, but angled correctly this compact Zefal concentrates the eye exactly where it needs to be!

Compact And Handy
The mirror was very easy to fit. There are two expanding collars over the main bracket, to allow for bigger bars, in my case neither were needed, it fit my bars fine on just the expanding bracket. The hinges can be tightened, to make their action stiffer, and I have found them very stable in use. Being able to fold the mirror out of the way is very handy when I'm stowing the bike away. The mirror is small, but the convex surface gives a decent view behind, once properly adjusted.Update: these aren't resilient if you drop the bike and will snap off. Having said that they're still my preferred mirror.

Great idea, mirror too narrow, modified - now great!
I bought this - love the way it can swivel to be adjusted for viewing and for storage. However, found it very hard and distracting to use safely as thee mirror is flat and narrow.SOLUTION: I super-glued a cheap, light and round plastic convex mirror onto the flat mirror and now I've got a fantastic fully adjustable mirror that gives me a great view behind. If this product had a convex mirror variant it would be an absolute winner.

Mirror, Mirror
Easy to fit, good quality mirror. Allowed me to do my hair while cycling, and to check on the massive queue of friendly motorists building up behind, all gesticulating about how nice my hair was.

Great design, but plastic is beyond redemption
The mirror is tiny, but works great, feels sturdy, is easy to adjust and makes riding way safer and easier. Why one star? I've had two days' worth of riding out of it. On the third day I leaned the bike against a bin, it slid down and landed on some garbage bags. The front wheel swung and hit the ground with the bar end where the mirror was. Result? The plug that goes into the bar shattered into three pieces. The mirror is done with.To emphasize. It was quite a gentle fall, and the whole bike didn't land on the mirror. The plug didn't just get scratched or cracked - literally three pieces broke off.And no, it's not the case of me giving one star to a great product because of my own clumsiness. The hit it failed to take was nothing in comparison to what a bike component should - in my mind - be able to withstand.I do mostly touring, to the tune of 7000 miles a year. Although I care for my bike and look after it, the sheer amount of road time it gets means that it receives a fair bit of bashing without even crashes, just from normal use. Think trains and ferries... Or even someone pushing your bike out of the way at a shared bike rack. No way this mirror could withstand any of that.So it works really well, it really does, but if you buy it, make extra care not to damage it - I wouldn't even lean the bike on the side you've got the mirror at, otherwise it might break off on the wall. Folding it away doesn't help, either - in my case it was folded when it broke off.

Brilliant little accessory
This is probably the best value accessory I've ever bought for a bike. Like many of the other reviewers, I have trouble turning my head to check for vehicles approaching from behind; and when I do I often wander off onto the verge! I met a keen cyclist who had a rear light with a laser sensor in it. This sent a signal to his cycle computer warning him of vehicles closing in on his rear. He paid almost £300 for the light on it's own and it had a battery life of about 6 hours. Just under £11 buys this mirror that you can check regularly and see the road behind, very handy when I want to turn right. It pushes into the end of the handlebars and tightens with a screw. When not in use it folds neatly under the bar and is so unobtrusive that the first couple of times I went out I forgot to 'deploy' until well into my ride.Although not very high it gives a wide view.

Good in theory, poor in practise
Dispite mixed reviews I thougt I'd give this a go as I often struggle to see over my right shoulder. As others have said, mirror is to small to see much in. The folding design seems clever, but it just moves out of position all the time with the wind. Also isn't very secure when mounted in the bar ends - as i was adjusting it (again!) it fell out the bar ends, hit the road and went under the wheel of a bus!Save your £8 and don't bother with this. Its a shame because it has potential to be a good product.
