Can you use ink or marker on this without tearing or bleeding?

Hi. It’s okay to use oil-based & water-based markers, but different in case of an ink pen depends on its concentration.

Is the paper smooth? Or does it have a texture/tooth?

This paper is not a thick watercolor paper but has a light texturing to it. Not smooth. Best for dry mediums chalk, pencils oil pastels. I think the oil pastels is what it is aimed at. It certainly could be used for almost any medium you wish to try. I really like the wonderful neutral colors. I can chose a color to go with anything out of this tablet. I am mostly using it for drawing with colored pencil.

Can you use this paper for pastels?

I use this paper for sketching and value studies, often using white or light pastel in the process. I would not use it for a full on pastel painting because I don’t think it has enough tooth.
