Tamiya��77504�燤odel Boat Battle Nelson

Returned to modelling after a long break. I chose this kit because I haven’t a lot of space for larger scale kits. Also this kit was inexpensive for my return to modelling. The kit was fine and I enjoyed making and painting it. I think that the result looks good.

As other reviwers have said, this kit has a lot of small parts, and these break incredibly easily. I’ve made a couple of hundred models, and this is the only one where I’ve had multiple broken gun barrels, etc, snapping when cutting off from the sprue with micro clippers. I take an XXL in gloves, and I literally couldn’t hold some of the pieces. HMS Nelson is now on patrol duties in a local landfill.Now if you have smaller hands than me, you’ll probably manage this kit well. The detail is reasonable for the scale, and it seems reasonably accurate. If you want alternative camouflage patterns, try searching the web. There is a much more interesting dazzle pattern on the web than the one Tamiya offer with the kit.

This model arrived 2 days after date stated !! Could you please pass on the following to the makers -- There was NO flags ,, Only half the required barrels for the 4.7 inch guns ( I had to make them single barreld instead of double ) There was NO oerlikons included ( though there was plenty with the HMS Malta model I bought from you) and finaly according to the instructions there was 3 eight pounder Pom Poms missing ,, This is the worst kit I have bought so far, Please feel free to give my details to the makers along with these complaints , Thank You , Stanley Stewart.

Well it looks good, even though I haven’t started yet. I will say though that it didn’t come with any decals. Not sure if this is intended or not.

have always been pleased with Tamiya.... this was no exception..... add a magnifier to your hobby desk for these 1/700 kits if you have old eyes like myself.

Great arrival as it was a few days early. Never built a model this small and detailed. Do be very careful with the smaller guns as the are extremely fragile. Great product and have already ordered more Tamiya ships.

Die Produktbeschreibung ist unvollständig!Leider steht hier nirgends, dass es sich um ein !!WASSERLINIENMODELL!! handelt, jedenfalls soweit ich es gesehen habe, darum gibt es einen Stern abzug.Die Verarbeitung der Teile ist hingegen großartig. Ich war kurzweilig gewillt es zurück zu schicken, allerdings brennt es mir ein wenig unter den Fingernägelt, es auf ein Diorama zu setzen.MfG
